And just so this is on topic, LOVED "The Ides of March." It really held my attention but I do love me a good political drama. I'd really see anything for Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti and George Clooney. Mr. Gosling was just the icing on the cake.

Re: The Ides of March
I thought it was a great film and agree with many of the things already mentioned.
I saw it last Sunday in Hampstead and still find it hard to listen to any politician (I have Question Time on in the background) and believe that any of them are interesting in the truth and in really finding solutions for problems rather than trying to look or sound clever more clever than "the others" and make themsleves and their party look good or the others look bad. Depressing reality, specially in a time where there are enough problems that coudl do with a true solution.

Re: The Ides of March
I didn't think Farragut North was based on John Edwards 2004 presidential campaign. It was based on Howard Dean's 2004 campaign, he actually pumped $40million into the Iowa primary but still lost to John Kerry and John Edwards, coming in 3rd.

Re: The Ides of March
The wikipedia entry appears to have changed since I last looked at it as it said John Edwards before. Clearly I shouldn't trust wikipedia as a source.superhero wrote:I didn't think Farragut North was based on John Edwards 2004 presidential campaign. Re: The Ides of March
good watch and went so quickly that I felt it ended too quick.
Easily could have a sequel made, even if this was based on fact.
