Haven't been on here much recently, been busy with the show 2.8 Hours later -
http://www.fmuk.org.uk/forum/viewtopic. ... 30#p163414

It's been tiring but so much fun acting like zombies from Shaun of the dead and 28 days later. The players take the show/game so seriously, talking at the wrap party I heard one player jumped from one storey of a car park to another level and broke her leg! Some zombies got handbag attacked. I had people running away from me dropping a mobile, losing their shoe...

The show is going to tour other cities in the UK and it will tour the States in 2012 too. It should be back in London for Halloween next year

Don't know where to post this. Mods - Please move to a more appropriate thread, if there is one? Thanks.

I went to the Michael Jackson, Life of an Icon Premiere tonight at Empire Leicester Square.

We had the worst seats possible, the last two seats at the end of the second row on the right of the screen, B7 and B8, so basically you were like backstage as all the stars stood with their backs to you so we only saw their backs!! And the screen was so lopsided and close that after a second watching the red carpet we were already getting a headache. As soon as the film started we found some empty seats a few rows further back on the end of the row, which was a bit better but not much. I have come to the conclusion the end of the row seats on the right hand side is not where you want to be at the Empire, as the screen faces more to the left, so it is really uncomfortable to watch from the right side of the screen.

Before the film started, David Gest introduced and had a Q&A with MJ's sister, Rebbie, and brother, Tito, and the two lawyers that helped acquit him on the molesting charge, were also there.

Sadly the film felt very tacky. I thought it was supposed to be a warts and all documentary, and was interested to hear it from people who know him. It is laughable, when David Gest was interviewed and he said it took him a year and half to make it because he had interviewed 90 people and each time what he heard he said he had not known about it, but I didn't feel there were anything new there that I had not seen on the news. Michael's life as a grown up is pretty sad, when you see what a talented, happy young and beautiful boy he was, with such a pure singing voice. I do like his songs. There was, not surprisingly, too much David Gest in this, and his banging on about how straight MJ was, but when Gest was not on screen and it focuses on the family, it was quite touching and especially the mum's account is quite poignant. It is going straight to DVD and many of his fans would love it. They seemed to be all there tonight. 5/10.

We were ther too prettycool. But we had seat near back of stalls, thank god
But where we were sitting felt a little under dressed as everyone seem to be wearing the jackets and hats etc. I thought I was interesting but as always with this type of thing.
And think with timing of this DVD and court case seems just a way to make money. And there hoping the doctor is found guilty as they kept going on about the drugs.
It was nice to see people comments tho on what they thought about him.

No offence, but you wouldn't ever get a "warts and all" documentary made by a celeb/friend of the family, endorsed by the family.

I know, I thought it would give a better understanding of how and why he became so strange and had such a weird lifestyle in later life. The film was really about what other stars thought of him. He was surrounded by people who saw him as a money making machine, and those that protected him kept him that way to line their own pockets. So tragic and such a waste of a talent.

Had a really great night out last night courtesy of superhero.

Aunty and I went to a Spanish cookery class, where we cooked then polished it all off.

Aunty was happy to hear we were going out for dinner, but then her face fell when I said 'You've got to cook it first'. However, she enjoyed it when she got there.

The class took place in the chef/teacher's house, which, conveniently, was walkable from me.

There were six of us and it was a nice friendly small group. Some people hadn't shown up.

Obviously being a Spanish cookery class there was a heavy emphasis on olives, which I was slightly concerned about, as I'm not olives' No 1 fan, but it was deeeeeliccious .

We started off by frying in batter queen olives stuffed with manchego cheese.
Annida [?] salad: which consisted of serrano ham, chorizio, grilled sardines, white bait, gem lettuce and grilled asparagus, all arranged nicely on a huge platter.
Chicken in a green olive sauce.
Grilled sea bass.
Chorizio and potato salad.
Chocolate truffles with olive pate (I prefer chocolate truffles without the olive pate)

Thanks again superhero. I'd say sorry you couldn't go, but I'd be a two-faced cow, as I'm glad you couldn't, cos I went instead! o/

Glad you enjoyed it and hopefully didn't have to make more food afterwards at home!

Wow, I didn't know the spanish cookery class was quite that pricey:

"The next class will last approximately four hours and will be running on Wednesday 9th November between 10am – 3pm. There are a limited number of places on the course so book now to avoid disappointment. The classes are priced at £115 per person which includes a five course meal and wine."
