Simon Callow in Dr Marigold and Mr Chops
Simon Callow is a virtuoso storyteller who has already presented the life of Britain's greatest novelist in The Mystery of Charles Dickens in both the West End and on Broadway. Now he brings to life two one-man plays by Charles Dickens after a sell-out London run. In an absorbing theatrical event he tells the stories of Dr Marigold, a travelling salesman who adopts a little deaf and dumb girl and Mr Chops, a freak-show turn who wins the lottery and a place in society. Adapted by Patrick Garland, these masterpieces, which were hugely popular when Dickens himself performed them on his famed reading tours, provide a masterly blend of the comic, bizarre and poignant that is classic Dickens.
"Callow fills the auditorium with his energy and enthusiasm ...this is theatre in its purest and most noble form." *****

ADAM COHEN
SON OF LEGENDARY LEONARD COHEN EMBARKS ON DEBUT UK TOUR
Singer songwriter Adam Cohen will head to UK shores this November for a series of intimate shows. With what will be his first ever UK tour, the son of legendary poet-balladeer Leonard Cohen, Adam Cohen will showcase his unique and distinctive voice that has made him a success in his own right.
Born in Montreal, Canada in 1972 to Leonard Cohen and his then-wife Suzanne Elrod, Adam grew up with music in his veins. Having been surrounded by instruments, he soon taught himself to play the drums, piano and guitar and immersed himself in the sounds of Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Randy Newman and Bob Marley.
At 17, while roadying for a calypso band, Adam was involved in a near fatal road accident suffering from numerous injuries. He stayed in hospital for seven months with his father attending his bedside daily during his most helpless months. Having recovered, Adam spent two years studying for a BA in Political and Social sciences at Syracuse University in upstate New York before dropping out. It was during this time that Adam Cohen steered his way back to the road he was destined to take; music.
His musical career began when he was signed by Columbia Records achieving success as a songwriter for other artists including Bette Midler. His debut self-titled album in 1998 was hailed by The New York Times as ‘a promising beginning’ making a splash on mainstream radio and MTV - spawning the track ‘Cry Ophelia’. As a talented multilingual, Adam went on to release his French Language album ‘Melancolista’ on which he enlisted the vocals of French actress Virginie Ledoyen. A few years later Adam joined four piece California rock band Low Millions whose album Ex-Girlfriends referenced some of Adams real-life former girlfriends. After a number of hits and touring the world, Adam Cohen had completed the ‘final phase’ in his ‘true education in music’.
In 2007 Adam Cohen came into his own when he took to the stage in Barcelona and for the first time sang one of his father’s songs – the classic ‘Take This Waltz’ – in Spanish. Such was the success, Adam’s lates
t offering ‘Like A Man’ is an intimate, romantic yet shrewdly reflective plain speaking album that evokes something of his father just as in any child you can discern the echo of the parent.

Hello,
We have a few more tickets for the OFFICE PARTY!
Office Party, the show that’s a party!
Tired of the same old boring office party? Then let yourself be entertained by legendary cabaret artists Ursula Martinez (La Clique, La Soirée) and Christopher Green (Tina C, Ida Barr) as they invite you to their very own scandalous Office Party. After sell-out runs at the Barbican Theatre and the Edinburgh Fringe, the show that’s a party is back! Martinez and Green, who collaborated together in the Olivier-Award winning C’est Duckie!, bring you an experiential theatrical extravaganza which features a veritable smorgasbord of stand-up comedians, and stupendously brilliant avant-garde performers.
Whatever your profession; doctor or digger, taxidermist or taxi driver, take a journey around our purpose-built office where the fun will be waiting for you.
Get ready for the most wonderfully experimental party on offer! There will be possible professional embarrassment, but don’t worry, what happens at the office party, stays at the office party! Anything could happen, and it probably will….
