I am afraid the trailer has spoiled that one already.

I've posted my review. I really loved this even if there was a lot that didn't make sense (it is a film about Santa Claus after all): http://wp.me/p1LZHn-94

Great review, sf! "Minor niggling" reminds me that I *think* I spotted a few mistakes too. For example:
Grandsanta's teeth fly out (and away from the sleigh) yet he magically wears them again a few scenes later.
Well, I think the biggest, most glaring plot hole is:
If they need to get to Cornwall by sun rise, why is the team still not working throughout the night? Let's be generous and say sun-rise is at 8am in Cornwall. That's midnight on the west coast of the US. No way would Santa be tucked away in bed and the operation be shut down already. And really this could have been avoided simply by having that one missed child reside somewhere on the west coast.
Good point! I guess they wanted to keep the story UK central and hoped no one would notice...

My third premiere this week and none of the wins were mine, I was someone's +1 each time. :D

It's not the most entertaining film of the holiday period, but it managed to skirt along by with a charm and a heart to it that, well, just look at Arthur's goofy smile. How can you say no?

Beautiful to look at, needs several more viewings to catch all the clever little touches but definitely entertaining and original with an unbelievable voice cast. Good fun!
