That's great BettyB, carry on the good work.

I've just ordered 3 months of Diet Chef and will start from tomorrow, really taking it all seriously. I can top the food up with fruit and veg, there's lots of snacks, and even popcorn. No works party for me, I'm not going although I may go to the departmental meal, especially if it is after the New year

Well done girls 10lbs weight loss and 3 months Diet Chef that certainly is dedication o/ Sorry to hear that you're not going to the works Christmas party Valda.
I'm doing my best to be really healthy and need to get back doing my DVD, I walked miles in Barcelona and did eat very well when I was there but the exercising has slipped since I've returned. As my first Christmas meal is on Thursday and have another 3 in the pipeline plus 2 works Christmas Parties I really need to step it up.

I want to lose 2kgs in 2 weeks! Ok....I made that goal up.....basically I just want to fit into this sexy little number I b*ght like 6 or 7 yrs ago and kinda forgot about in a closet at my mum's until it surfaced yesterday when I was over there helping with pre-xmas decluttering, etc. I'm gonna get my butt in gear and do something a bit more strenuous than my usual yogalates & shags routine so maybe some swimming, jogging and, dare I say it, eating healthily too!

Glassy....any tips? Anyone else? Feel free to advise, comment, hurl abuse, etc :giggle: Is my made-up goal ridiculous??? I think I need some kind of bootcamp/drill instructor type to get my ass into gear because I was just lusting a profiterole. Oh dear.

Sir, Yes, Sir!!

Well I had my first xmas dinner last night, my cricket club...actually it wasnt a xmas dinner, just an annual one. First stop was the pub as is the tradition. 2 pint ciders later we crossed over the road to a chinese restaurant (I zigzagged across as I cant handle my drinks as I used to...since well you know I dont drink that often these days!). Then we gorged on a 4-5 course meal with more beers. And then being the club manager, I had to make my awards presentation after several glasses of beer and cider. I had my speech written on my mobile phone but the battery went down right at the start. So I loudly exclaimed the S word as my first welcome sentence and proceeded to improv a whole of lot slurred crap which completely missed everything that I had pre-written. As a result, my presentation was mercifully a lot shorter than expected...I expected many to fall asleep as they normally do during my presentations but it was noticeable that everyone was more perked up this time, obviously marvelling at how much a fool I've made of myself! But a strange thing was happeneing throughout the rest of the evening as many were coming up to me saying that was great, please dont ever read from a script, they really enjoyed it. Obviously they had too much to drink also or they just wanted to make me feel better. Or could they be right? Is this something to learn from?

Anyway, like my dinner speech, I am going way off tangent on this thread sorry and what's this?

BettyBoop, you're awesome. Keep it going and congratulations on your incredible progress o/ o/ o/

Well now, 2kgs in 2 weeks is actually within the healthy target rate for those who have a little journey to go with their weightloss. 2lbs (0.9kg) per week is the max healthy rate but from experience I wouls make it 1.5lbs per week to avoid the dreaded lose skin (be aware of that). BUT for you, it sounds like you only need to lose 2kg to reach your ideal weight. If you are willing to work a bit hard, aim for 3 weeks ;)

I suggest, to do exactly what you planned to do. Shagging is fine but your body is so used to it, seeing that you are a serial shagger (I'm not quite sure what I meant by seeing)...so you body has adapted and need a shock to the system to kick in that fat burner.

I know it easy to say cut down on sugary stuff but if you break your meals into 5 a day, you wont have those profiterole cravings because you will never be hungry. Hunger activates the sweet cravings. Never BE HUNGRY! Eating 5 meals a day also accelerates your fat burning. So try that! Dont change your diet too drastically, just modify and substitute better foods. 70% of losing weight is down to what you eat. The rest is down to physical exercises and mindset.

As for motivation, if you feel you need more than us here to kick your bum...(and since you gave us permission, we bloody well will), then I whole hearted recommend a few sessions with a personal trainer. Its what got me going at the start and its even why I decided to become one myself. If thats a bit much then do those fat burning classes at your local gym, HAV does this rhumbo dance thing which I am noticing appearing everywhere. Try those out, they look a great deal of fun and good fast fat burners.

And you say Jogging and swimming? Bloody perfect! So what are waiting for? stop thinking, Go. Now. Did you say you want to lose 2kg in 2 weeks? Why you still here?! Go Now! No..leave the profiteros...just GO!

I thought so too, it is really true that it does burn off calories? If so can you equate the colorie burn to the time?? Certian positions must be more energetic than others......certianly got me thinking :D

I've been eating healthily but apart from lovely walks on the botanical gardens near my house, no other forms of exercise. Gotta get back to it as i've seen a fabby jumpsuit i want to p*rchase for all my xmas boogying.

BettyB you're doing great, could do with some of your staying power.

Diane & Glassy...you know how to party - healthiest lowest caolrie drink - vodka and cranberry.
