i know, that seemed like a perfectly salvageable laptop, silly bugger. I figured it was something to do with marketing, given the relaxed attire of his boss the entire time.

Only my interpretation, but he was about to have meaningful sex with someone he quite clearly cared about in some manner, and he felt it was too overwhelming to do sober.

Hmm meaningful sex with someone you care about isn't done in a hotel room on the second date, in the middle of a work day usually
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

To him it was as close as he could get, being socially defunct in that sense.

But neither was it with a prostitute. It was with a "date" for want of a better word.

I finally got around to finishing my review for this. I'd say "In short..." but let's face it, there wasn't much that was short, was there?

Am I the only one who thinks he’s got 2 flats? The one in Central Manhattan and the one overlooking the river?
Some of you mentioned a hotel room, but this room looks very much like the one from the opening sequence (I’d understand if you were more focused on Fass’ body at this point rather than on his open-space flat!), and at this point it’s quite clear that it’s not a hotel room as he’s got his own phone line/voicemail.

Later in the movie, his flat is smaller, darker, small windowed and definitely not open-space anymore…

Oh well, this movie was really a mess!

(I just realised you add caption under the pictures in your reviews sf :D )

But I got the impression he was at the place he went by on the run, and saw the naked couple?

BTW I had to google certain words in sf's review

If you've seen The Big Lebowski, you'd know why I used it.
