@ sh - that's the thing I do want to book it now (the prices have already shot up by a few hundreds from when I first checked ) but my manager was telling me to think twice before I think about travelling because according to him there will be issues with arrivals/departures (due to the number of people who will be coming over) and therefore I will probably find myself stuck at some airport. I don't want to be p*ying out for flight tickets/hotels if it's going to be an issue - then I'll have to go end of April/early May.

@ David - errrr, no thanks. I am completely against the London 2012 Olympics. I'm not a fan of sports as it as and will not like all the issues that we will suffer as a result of it.

Have confidence in them. Lets hope they organise a great Olympics and wish them the best for successful and safe event. The New Year Eve's fireworks was a brilliant exhibition of synchronised sight and sound. I felt quite proud as it looked the best show compared to the other celebrations around the world. Its seemed a good sign to me.

You haven't seen a NYE firework display until you've seen the one in Sydney above the Harbour Bridge :p

Would indeed love tickets, living within sight of the Olympic stadium. Almost thought I had one until I added one to the basket and then got the "it's broken" message

Thanks to work I have tickets for several paralympic events which I am looking forward to.

It seems pretty unbelievable as to how quickly the actual event seems to be coming round.

Pretty impressive that we are hosting the first olympics that are completely sold out and this is also the very first paralympics to have sold out. Channel 5 are scheduling a pretty impressive coverage of the paralympics which, hopefully, will be far better than the silly highlights on BBC that it usually gets relegated to.

The decent tickets which are not too far from the action do seem to be very expensive. Anyone been looking at the resale tickets, has anything good been coming up?
