Biiiiig reality check today. I went to b*y the biggest bottoms and vest so I can do a cmbat class tomorrow. Its all too tight and looks dreadful. I finally looked in the mirror and realised what a mammoth task I have.

On the other hand, I walked into the crappy fried chicken shop and walked out again and went home, had some steamed green beans and a diet chef meal.

One day at a time that's how I roll o/

Well done again, Valda! The more you do the right thing, the less you should feel tempted to undo any of your good work. You have impressive willpower.

Thanks  Once I really set my mind to it I'm ok. I have a few chocolate coins to get through but the Toblerones are staying in the cupboard :shifty:
My main problem is I want it to happen quickly. of course it won't but I get bored or disheartened and give up (sometimes)

Still no smoking either o/

One day at a time is the best way or one moment at a time when you get tempted. I quit smoking 2 years ago and have been tempted back many times, especially when i've had a few vinos. What's kept me from doing it was smelling others when they've come back from smoking...it honks!! Knowing that there is no such thing as just one puff...always leads to another. Waiting for that one weak moment to pass then a moment of achievement follows.

treating yourself at the end of the week will feel fantastic when you've earned it, save your toblerones for then o/

I stop smoking for 6 months or more, then go out have a drink and that is that for another year. I'm treating myself once a month or more with Groupon or Kgdeals treatments

I stopped and started for a few years before i'd finally had enough. I realised that drink without smoke makes it taste so much better and your hangover isn't so hellish without the 40 fags that usually accompanies such nights.

Your physical cravings will be gone soon, its the psychological ones you need to come up with strategies for. I used to study people who smoked...they never looked very happy and the desperation of them sucking away on those nicotine sticks was a sad sight and not one i wanted to go back to.

The groupon treats sound a great idea :star:

thing is that I never smoke in the day, I can go away to non smokers places and not want one. But I really enjoy sitting at home smoking and playing games, or standing outside pubs, chatting to strangers. :(

Well done Valda, that's some will power with tackling weight loss and smoking at the same time. o/

My husband's electric cigarette arrived today, so far so good, he has tried most methods of giving up, patches, inhaltors, gum, hypnosis, but none have lasted very long, hoping that this will keep his cravings under control without the actual smoke and so many chemicals, long term plan is to gradually cut down and give up still.

I have a few pounds to shift again, worked so much over Xmas where there was a constant supply of choccies a few pounds have crept back on, I have just made sure that they are now all finished :shifty: so work will have now have no more temptations!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!
