Watched this cartoon caper last night and I enjoyed it. It's completely different to the new BBC version which I'm looking forward to watching tonight.

It was a complete jape and I enjoyed it for what it is. I can see true devotees hating it!

A happy 7/10 from me.

I saw this for free with one of my two remaining Cineworld vouchers. To tell the truth, I was a bit disappointed. The first Sherlock film was much better: fresher, a better plot and certainly darker. I'm not saying it was perfect (far from it; Rachel McAdams was very underwhelming in her supporting role) but I enjoyed it more. This suffers from another poorly chosen second sidekick (Noomi Rapace really doesn't serve much purpose), uninspiring location work (OK, the Swiss alps were cool, but the dingy streets of London are much more exciting), a strange absence of Lestrade (who is still credited as a supporting character, despite only appearing in one scene) and an underlying sense of familiarity. More time seems to have been devoted to the rather drab and noisy action sequences than to the storyline. And for heaven's sake, we don't need to see Stephen Fry naked for so long!

It had its moments, but a poor effort overall. 4/10
(I'll be writing a review soon, but only after I've written one for The Artist)

Saw this in Leicester as a bonus as I had tics for War Horse but it was already full by the time I got there. Felt the film was okay, comical in parts but dragged on a bit in others.

Fun-filled adventure, giggled myself silly eveytime I saw him on his pony :rofl2:

Could've done with a bit more "Sherlock" detective work, although it was nice having a lot of action so it didn't drag along.

Well I got so jealous of all of you with vouchers that I went and b*ght the Cineworld Unlimited, haha take that! No wait, money came out of my pocket didnt it? Damn. Oh well but I can see as many films I like now...so I christened it with Sherlock.

I cant believe it, I was really bored until the last half hour. I really enjoyed the first one, there was good chemistry between Holmes and Watson and more wit. But I dont know whats wrong here, its got the same sort of energy, same snazzy editing and direction but...it bored me. Something was missing. The actors were fine but it lacked spark. I think the humour seemed more forced and it didnt make me laugh at all. But the last half hour suddenly made up for it with a really thrilling climax which I love so much it depresses me that the first hour and a bit was so under par.

So disappointed. If I saw this in 2011 this would be the most disappointing film of the year though not the worst.

6/10 (it would have been 5/10 if it wasnt for the brilliant climactic last half hour)

I used up my odeon vouchers as they were due to expire end of Jan, took my 12 yr old son and his friend to see this today we thoroughly enjoyed this although i have to agree the first one was far superior and we could have done with a tad more detective work involved, i think i near wet myself when Mr Fry was naked lol. I also thought more use could have been made of Noomi Rapace's character but even though for me the balance wasn't quite right between Detective film and Action film i still enjoyed the it, the two boys loved it in fact it was them who chose to see it which surprised me overall i would still rate it 8/10 just for the enjoyment factor :-D
