I enjoyed this much more than I had been expecting. I thought it was a classic Spielberg Hollywood movie and very well done. The surround sound was great too.

What a stunning film. I watched it a couple of months ago now and I can't get over that first charge scene. When they all crept out of the field in unison, I could feel my jaw drop. So beautiful!

Went to a free preview of "War Horse" last Sunday. Directed by Steven Spielberg it is an classic old school film of the "Gone with the Wind" kind. You can imagine this being showed on Sat/Sun afternoon on BBC2.

Although I enjoyed and admired it. For me, it didn't have the emotional drama. So not my cup of tea. But others feel otherwise. Worth seeing on a really big screen. For me, it should have been called "Saving Black Beauty"!

Saw this on Saturday night. Really quite disappointed by it, didn't seem to flow very well and seemed to chop from each little story segment to the next. Was expecting the story to be from the horses point of view and instead seemed to be from everyone who came in contact with hims point of view and therefore made it quite difficult to really connect with anything or anyone as they were all such short little segments of story. I know it was a childrens story but at times i thought the dialogue was so childish and tried to emphasise a point that it became really laboured (yes i get that this is a 'miraculous horse') although even in the film the horse didn't seem to do too many miraculous things. Not an awful film but i think it was very disappointing, but i feel people are either loving this film or being disappointed by it.

Off to Dartmoor next weekend, so hopefully will see much of the same beautiful scenery as was shown in the film.

I want to see more of the illustrated War Horse, a superhero perhaps, Joey the Wonder Horse?
