erm I don't think it's classed as a rom-com... more of soppy romance drama type category like the notebook or something.

Saw this at Braehead last night and found it really slow and predictable. The initial overstaying of the visa is something that is quite realistic but thereafter they lost the plot and never really grew up, which made it all a bit annoying. Unlike others I didn't feel sorry for their new partners as it was obvious from the storyline that they knew about the issues and still got deeply involved with them, the girl having been dumped once went back for more hurt - silly girl.

First freebie of the year - 2/10
Always on the lookout for spare GLASGOW tickets. Thanks to all those great sharers who keep me going with plenty of free nights out.

I can only echo what others have said about this one. I just can't feel anything for two people who claim to be madly in love, yet are constantly off with other people. The story line was just weak.

Did anyone also notice that he sent a text message to her and the date said 1 Dec 2010, yet when he looked at his phone again 10 seconds later, it said 28 May!

Well I survived a second viewing and don't think any worse for it, if anything it didn't seem as slow I think it helps knowing what to expect and a slow paced film always takes a bit of adjustment. Still a big laugh for the drinking in London line from the Times+ audience.

I'm pleased you gave it a second viewing, elski. Did his carpentry skills improve this time round? :D

Nope and thinking about it I'm going to add 'furniture designer' to my cv, we had to design a chair in first year at uni so that makes me one too. ;)
