They were ID'ing at Covent Garden! I hope shmile got in eventually, especially seeing as it wasn't entirely full. There was an in your face girl from Virgin Media and a security guard who checked everyone's bags and told us to switch phones off.

The film - now that's more like it! Okay, it's probably not going to set the world on fire but it was entertaining enough and kept my attention throughout. What it lacked for in real suspense was made up with some injection of humour (specifically Jamie Bell and his girlfriend). Ed Harris is frightfully thin these days! And where did I know that older white copper from? Need to imdb him.

There were two girls in the middle row who seemed to have been to the cinema for the first time or something - every twist or action took them completely by surprise and they gasped or laughed loudly at absolutely everything. Very annoying.

Otherwise good screening, had brilliant seats, and OH enjoyed the film very much which is the main thing these days. I hope no one got offended by him using the ladies' loos - he got confused. :giggle:

My mate blagged his way in so hopefully everyone managed it. LOL at the bloke checking bags, but the amount of food I saw peopel eating was amazing, I'm surprised they didn't take it all away.

Film was ok but was it really necessary for the girl to have her boobs out? or to change into a wet suit sort of thing?

bigger laugh at the end when I was getting some more popcorn from our row, when some girl came down from the back of the cinema to get some herself, whilst calling me a 'Greedy Bitch' 'yeah you got to get up early to beat me in the popcorn queue :p

We had trailers again and Liam Neeson appeared in two of them, looks like he's having a Ryan Gosling/Natalie Portman run of several films out within a few months.

Oh yeah, when we exited the screening room we got papped! I just managed to hide behind someone bigger I hope and then ran up the stairs but that in-your-face Virgin Media woman was still there asking us whether we enjoyed the film and said "see you next month." She hadn't got a clue what next month's film will be but said we had to be quick when the tickets are being released. No shit, Sherlock.

This film exceeded my lowly expectations - an average thriller with some good bits - nothing too memorable, but much better than last week's outing - (Like Crazy)

Sadly, not another Fmukker in sight - where have they all gone? Of course, there may be new North East members but the regulars are not around any more. Billy no-mates signing off.....

7/10 from me.

Back from a pretty full Glasgow. So not impressed with the Virgin rep at all. So much so have emailed a complaint.

Anyhoo back to the film. I totally enjoyed this. The time flew faster than last night and even had some giggles from us.
Worked out that the bellhop was the father and also that his old partner was involved pretty early on.
Do you mean Ed Burns from The Holiday and 27 Dresses Beate?

Got there about 5.50pm and was greeted by kaybeelon who told me that they were ID'ing everyone, and one of her party had someone else's spare ticket, so I offered to take him in on one of our spares. But after the "hyper" Virgin girl let kaybeelon in with her plus one she stopped us and said, oh it is not 6pm yet, the doors are not open until then, you all have to wait, there are plenty of seats! So I looked at the time, and all that fuss for 4 minutes! So at 6pm she let us in. There was no security guard to check our bags, so we took our picnic out and ate it with the popcorn before the film started.

I must apologies for my colleague in the middle row, Beate, yeah, she never gets out, I think it is her first time at the cinema, she kept pinching my other friend quite hard too, making my friend squeal with pain! But she loved the film, as you may have guessed.

Anyway, for me it was much better than I expected, and I really enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Originally, I was in two minds to see it as I have a height phobia, and my legs turned to jelly as soon as he went on that ledge. 7/10

Thought this was quite a silly, predictable little movie ... but not horrible. Much like with "The Next Three Days" my only major gripe was the casting choice of Elizabeth Banks as the negotiator. She has a face for comedy - not action, and certainly not drama.

Before the movie started, I happened to find myself eavesdropping on the couple behind me. The guy was saying something like this: "'Man on a Ledge'. So what's this about? Is it 90 minutes of a guy falling off a ledge? That would be an interesting movie. Or is it like first he loses his balance, then he regains it, and then he almost loses it again? And then there's rain, then snow...seasons pass. --Y'know, I'm going to be disappointed if the movie isn't about this."

His girlfriend was killing herself with laughter, and to be completely honest, so was I !!! I kinda wish we'd seen THAT movie.

BTW Ms. Valda, when I said "I'd forgotten about you", I meant that I hadn't seen you frequenting the forums lately. Have you gone undercover? ;)
