I suppose that's really the point. In real life, unlike the movies, people tend to go through life making the same mistakes again and again, and blaming everyone else for being in the wrong rather than them.
Agree with people that expectations were higher than was delivered due to the lead actress.
Always on the lookout for spare GLASGOW tickets. Thanks to all those great sharers who keep me going with plenty of free nights out.

Was at Stratford Vue for this tonight and must say i quite enjoyed it. Although not as funny as one might expect, it was very watchable and Charlize Theron was quite terrific as the self destructive Mavis.
8/10, review coming soon

I didn't think this was boring or bad at all. It wasn't the mindless rom-com I was expecting but I enjoyed the film and its dark humour nonetheless. 7/10

Too slow, but could have been interesting with more energy (not from Theron - energy in the 'more action' way as nothing happens for 1h30) and more emotional sequences earlier in the movie (or something more based on Theron's f*cked up mind)
3/10

Well saw this at a packed Omni Centre. In a word. pointless. No real story, no real ending, all in all a waste of an evening. Not the worst film I have seen, someone remind me of the Martial arts film I saw in Newcastle, that was the worst, but this had so much potential that was wasted. Really feel some of these actors/actresses need to consider whether they are suitable for the role. Did not think this role was a good fit for Charlize at all.
Obviously man on a ledge was the one i should have gone too
2.5/10 from me
Imagine how different the main character would have been if she had had the right help when she went through the traumatic experience of miscarriage as a teenager, instead it looked like it was brushed under the carpet, leading to her trying to block her pain in alcohol and casual relationships. Her parents seemed unconcerned about her psychological health, condescending of her self harm (hair pulling) and even dismissing her revelation that she was an alcoholic as being silly. I thought it was a fair depiction of post traumatic stress disorder and although it was thought provoking it may be lost to some audiences unless they have somehow been touched by any of the mental health issues shown. In those cases the deep pain and hurt of grief will be missed and all that will be seen bunny boiler who has no feelings and is only out to break up a couple with a new baby.
As much as I think it's daft for anyone who hasn't seen a film to read threads once screenings have occurred, there are some flagrant spoilers being bandied about here and by people who should know better.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

I didn't think it was as bad as some of the reviews suggest. Ok acting and plot. Some cringeworthy moments, but definitely entertaining overall.
