Everybody sounds so motivated...brilliant!! Diane, i've been getting a mag called Healthy Food and making a lot of the recipies in it, it has good ideas about snacks (thanks for the milk one Glassy as i often feel peckish just before bed o/ ). A piece of wholemeal toast with peanut butter is the sweetest one i've found. I'll put some more up here when i get home.

I've got a 30 minute stretch and tone DVD that i tried for the first time last night, good mix of stuff. I've been balleting away quite happily but my joints are so sore afterwards. LUVVIN the zumba class, best one i've been too. Was so annoyed as i had to miss it last week because my duaghter locked herself out.

Hopefully this week i'll have lost some weight as its still not coming off. i still find it hard at the weekends to be good :Embarrassed:

so good to see everyone motivated and getting on with it!

i've rejoined the gym. went this morning. am now bloody ill - idiots that go to work sick and spread their germs should be sent home. that's 1 person that has now made at least 6 other people ill not to mention everyone they live with too. anyway

i now cant go to the gym until i'm better now and i'm only just started to get sick. FUMING!

PLUS... there's a kit kat fight on!

Poor you I hope that you feel better very soon.

Thanks havingascreen I will look out for that magazine. o/

I'm only working 4 hours tomorrow then heading off to the Peak District to walk in the hills, should be exhilarating if its as chilly as today.

Aruif, maybe you can fight off the germs with a hot lemon, honey and fresh ginger drink. A coldy thing has been hanging about me this week but its not floored me yet. Burning eucalyptus oil in an oil burner is good for warding off bugs too. Hope you feel better soon.

Diane do you go walking alone?? I have a few friends that are into it but sometimes when i want to go they don't/can't. Scotland has some brilliant hilly walks and they don't want to go as far afield as i do either.

Healthy Snacks

1) Leftover cold potatoes mixed with tuna, chopped cherry tomatoes and reduced fat sour cream and chive dip
2) Tortilla snack: spread a wholemeal wrap with grated Edam, ham and sliced tomatoe then top with a second wrap. Heat 1tsp oil in a non-stick pan, cook the stack on both sides until crispy then cut into wedges.
3) oatcakes topped with a boiled egg mashed with 1tsp reduced fat mayo and sliced tomatoe. I've been eating oatcakes topped with banana and it reminds me so much of banoffee pie.
4) Slice of wholegrain bread spread with honey and wrapped around a banana.

Happy healthy eating folks o/

I'm just heading off now and I go with my friend and sometimes her daughter's labradors (cows aren't too happy), its good fun going with a friend as we inspire each other but I would go on my own as long as not too isolated.

Thanks for the healthy snack tips they all sound lovely o/

Thanks so much it was lovely, I feel so alive. I had forgotten how pretty Kinder Scout looks covered with snow, I was at the base of it. :D
