Saw this at Cineworld in Edinburgh last night. It was very nearly full.

It reminded me of Se7en with Brad Pitt and was equally as gory in bits, but not as violent as harry brown that I saw the night before.

When it started i thought, oh good,Gerard Butler is not going to try an accent as his first words were in a Scottish accent but he obvioulsy changed his mind and the accent was Americanised - it was better than the Irish one he tried in PS I love You and better than any Ewan McGregor's ever tried but the Sean Connery method of acting and always keeping a Scots accent seems a good one to follow! Sorry I have a think about dodgy accents.

The film was OK. 6/10 from me. My OH thought it was "shonky".

Can people please be careful when talking about the film and the ending, some people haven't seen it yet, and we do have a spoiler function!

Thanks Beate, I'm not getting to see this until Tuesday next week (my 1st time through SKY).
Although I may have been slightly guilty of this myself once in the past... 8O

Saw this in Edinburgh Lothian Road tonight, guess about one third full which is disappointing as all the sky tickets were taken up.

Enjoyed the film, thought build up of characters especially Gerard Butler's done well. First 3/4 of film very good but last bit leading up to the ending was very mechanical. Just script writers thinking how can we explain what had happeneed earlier and how can we just end this film. However the actual last minutes were very quite poignant.

For me 8/10 and well worth going to see.

Wish Gerard did not keep changing his accent!!

Saw this in Swansea tonight, Good turnout - OH was the one on crutches if any FMUK people there.
Agree with the above Gerard Butler's character done well. Also with the ending, agree that it was not what a good script would have portrayed. Made me jump in places.

8/10 and well worth going to see.

Keep an eye on the beard - was it me or did it appear/disappear/change size a bit during the film??? - Don't let that put you off though - good film.

Saw this tonight, did not rate it highly at all, i felt the plot was not substantial enough to last the full film, so they just added ridicuolous bits to the film in order to pad it out. The Gerard Butler character was interesting but also a massive contradiction as he went against his own principles of 'justice' by doing what he done to his prison cell-mate, and the jamie foxx character didnt have enough depth to warrant any kind of sympathy lol

Although it wasnt all bad, the action pieces were unpredictable and well worked

6/10 from me

Saw this at Sheffield tonight, really enjoyed it. As others have said, there is definitely reason for this being an 18 certificate. Fairly humorous at times, which is great to break up the scenes which were intense. I enjoyed the plot, and yes some things were a bit far fetched, but over all, a great film with some great acting.

Saw this at Lothian Road, Edinburgh. As Majoreemajora said only about a third full but when we went in we were told not to leave single seats between us as they expected to be full!! So don't know what happened to everyone.

Not much I can add to the comments - very violent from the start and at times made you cringe at the violence doled out by Gerard Butler - but enjoyable and worth going to see.

Saw this in Southampton yesterday. Agree with the posters above. Overall a good film which maybe trailed a bit towards the end. Quite violent in places which the OH wasn't too keen on but not as graphical as other films.

A film which is well worth seeing. 7/10.
