Re: Law Abiding Citizen
Saw it in Romford, couldn't get into the cinema until 6:30, film began about 6:40.
For the first hour I loved it, brutal, funny and Gerard Butler was an enjoyable lead.
Then I realised Jamie Foxx was meant to be the hero, and the fact that
SPOILERS
He 'won' in the end.
END SPOILERS
Well, that left me disappointed, I only cared about Butler, an emotionally crippled and understandable character.
5/10.

Re: Law Abiding Citizen
Saw this in Streatham last night. I think this movie is mainly geared towards men as it was quite gory at times and it did make me jump a couple of times. It reminds of a film that has been done before, 'falling down' so it was nothing new really but 6/10.

Re: Law Abiding Citizen
I saw this last night at Odeon West End and it was shown on a massive screen in a big cinema which is pretty unusual for a freebie. The place was very full but there were enough seats so no problems this time with a Momentum screening. The film was pretty much as I expected it and I can't say I thought the acting was anything but average and this film is not for the squeamish as it was certainly very gory, with many look away now scenes.

Re: Law Abiding Citizen
Saw this in Dundee Odeon on Tues night with the OH. We both enjoyed it to the end. Hard to watch in places (through fingers mostly!). Found the beginning the most harrowing. Not the usual, predictable vengeance story, so liked the fact it showed a bit of originality. I'd give 8/10
Re: Law Abiding Citizen
I've got tickets for a screening next Monday in North Finchley which is a little bit further away than I normally go -
So for you guys who have already been to screenings, do you think that it's worth the trip?

Re: Law Abiding Citizen
i saw this last night at the O2. they were checking id's before letting people in.
i thought it was good for about the first third then, like some others on here, felt a bit disappointed with the ending. if you like lots of explosions and don't need to delve too deeply into plots (or plot holes) this film is watchable. 6/10.

Re: Law Abiding Citizen
It's worth seeing purely because it's still a few weeks from release.

Re: Law Abiding Citizen
it was a good film 6/10 the ending was abit of a let down. Everyone in the cinema jumped during one of the scenes, haha
Re: Law Abiding Citizen
I love it when audiences in cinemas jump at scary scenes in films!
I think I've seen far too many films now cause I can always spot when a supposedly jumpy bit is coming along but instead I get a similar amount of fun in keeping an eye out for other people's reactions...
(and it's also fun when the people you're watching the film with furiously try to deny that they flinched... ha)

Re: Law Abiding Citizen
I watched this at Odeon Greenwich and really enjoyed it. (The seats in this screen were fairly comfy). I'd say it was about 25% full which is a shame since all the tickets on the Sky booking system were gone.
I must agree though that the first 2/3 of the film was very interesting and kept you gripped. I really did like that guys intelligence level though! Very good! The shooting-phone bit was quite funny! Jamie Foxx was quite an annoying character. Totally sympathised with Gerard Butler's reasoning for killing! Thought he acted pretty good too. Didn't like the fact that his daughter was killed though.
That was sad. And he did make a good point about the justice system. Very very true.
The last third of the film was pretty predictable and lame. I was quite disappointed with the ending. Never the less, it was one I would recommend to watch! 7.5/10 for me!
