Looking forward to seeing this tomorrow at Wandsworth, after all the good reviews on here.

I really, really enjoyed this. Although it was pretty predictable, that was to be expected, and it certainly made me laugh. Lots.

Have to agree with everyone else. Loved the characters, their stories, and the film. Great film thoroughly enjoyed it and still laughing when I think of some of the one liners!!

Happy to see it again and could this be the best film of the year?? Warhorse at the end of last year and BEMH at the start of this year. It will be a hard act to follow.

Saw this today in Southampton and agree with the other posts, thought the film was great. I enjoyed the story line and the characters

Agree with all the positive things that have been said. It doesn't often happen that one thinks a film will be great and it is. This one fulfilled all my (high) expectations and more. Perfect film all round: intelligent and warmhearted script with plenty of subtle humour and wonderful timing, superb cast, beautifully directed. Maybe the end was not very surprising but that did not lessen the enjoyment one bit (you have that in fairy tales, too, and yet the children want to hear them again and again and again).

Definitely worth getting out of bed early to travel across London.
I don't usually watch films twice, but I think I would make an exception for this one.
10/10!

Got out of baby sitting duties for this and we were glad I did. A truely British feel good story. OH stayed awake all the way through and gave it his seal of approval.
It was good to see ACTORS who know their stuff and can show a range of skills, emotions etc without the American over the top approach. I will be seeing this again as I want to b*y, yes, b*y the dvd. The colours (ok, the smells, not so much) the scenary, I enjoyed so much of this film.
I know the ending was contrived and could see it coming but I still loved it.

Looks like anyone that can will be seeing this one again. Must be unanimous praise. Can't be bad. Pity it's missing out on BAFTAs for tonight.

9/10... thought it slowed a bit mid to late part of the movie. Dev Patel was funny but his accent kept dropping off towards the end of his lines. A bit more of the landscape could have been used, but I think this film was trying to avoid such grandeur that landscapes convey and was looking to make this the experiences of ordinary people in a foreign country, which it did admirably. These are tiny blemishes though - its solid entertainment and well acted from most of the oldies. The humour was well placed and never got in the way of the story. Perfect - for my mum anyway.

Goodness it did fill up fast in Kingston!
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

I went to see this with a friend and we both enjoyed it - she was keen on seeing it after seeing an interview with Judi Dench and Dev Patel. The cast half sold the film for me. It was warm, funny and I liked the characters - would recommend.
