John Carter

#1 Post by Beate » Thu Feb 16, 2012 10:03 am

Can't quite believe there is no John Carter thread yet considering how much some people anticipate the movie. It's coming out 9 March and when I was queuing up for my free popcorn at the Cineworld O2 on Tuesday, I saw some tiny promotional cards for it with characters from the movie. I took one John Carter, one Tars Tarkas and one Woola. Not really sure why. I don't even know who these creatures are.

Oh that's cool, I'll have to look for those next time I'm at the O2. They could be good bookmarks :D

I was actually really looking forward to this film until I saw a trailer. It very much looks like an "epic" CGI battle in the likes of 300 and Thor, instead of focusing on the story, which kind of put me off :(

It's going to be so odd to see Tim Riggins in the lead role but I can't wait!

Hollywood insiders say Disney’s 3-D sci-fi epic 'John Carter' is doomed, spelling trouble for studio boss Rich Ross. This film has cost $250 million to produce. It's going to take a lot of bums on seats to break even, isn't it?

i saw the trailer for this last night. i was not impressed. it looked like a by-the-book hero plot. also so much cgi i wondered why they bothered with a human and didn't just go full animation.

I don't think too many people are fussed about John Carter on FMUK.

It's on Saturday midian - careful - you could disappoint your kids!
