I normally take what seats I'm given. Last night I asked nicely (after FMUK tip off) if it was possible for stalls @ Houdini and I noticed she only had a few tickets left @ about 6.40pm.

ENO normally have reams of them!!!!

I try to be early 45/60 mins. (Only place I was aware of overbooking troubles was people sitting on the floor for War Horse film @ Wimbledon)

We've been to the ENO courtesy of SFF a number of times -- most recently for the ballet. I doubt however that The Death of Klinghoffer will be offered as it has had such glowing reviews -- but hope they'll prove me wrong. We can live in hope!

Yup, fingers crossed, but as well as the rave reviews, there are so few performances. Were the codes for VIPs only, please? Since I'm not one.

Managed to get tickets for HAYFEVER tomorrow night....Should be good. First time at the theatre with SFF - whats the best time to get there - assuming 6pm would be early enough to ensure 2 seats together !??!

Last year we saw 2 ballets -- Romeo and Juliet and Carmen with a masterclass plus the opera The Passenger at the ENO thanks to SFF. They may have started as VIP codes but then filtered down to plebs like me (also not a VIP).

Fairly recently @ the ENO: (non VIP)

"The Passenger" - absolutely fab, cleverly staged via a railway track. Dramatic story of Auschwitz

"Castor & Pollux" - Dramatic death and brotherly love. I was surprised when most of the cast were nude at one point!!!

LOL, it is poor service even it was a VIP code.

Sending a code out 15 minutes before the matinee starts, what a waste.
