Act of Valour

#1 Post by superhero » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:18 pm

Will it break the box office curse of anti-terrorism based films? And will it be spelt "Act of Valour" over here in the UK?

I saw the trailer today, and although not exactly my cup of tea, I think my husband will enjoy it. I can't remember whether of not the title was spelled valour or valor. Must look more closely next time.

Momentum Pictures are proud to announce the UK release of the Bandito Brothers' explosive Navy SEAL action movie, ACT OF VALOUR, starring active-duty Navy SEALs that takes you deep into the secretive world of the most elite, highly trained and deadly group of warriors in modern combat.

Conceived by former Baja 1000 champion Mike "Mouse" McCoy and former stuntman Scott Waugh, ACT OF VALOUR goes deep into the secret world of today's most elite and highly trained group of warriors.

When the rescue of a kidnapped CIA operative leads to the discovery of a deadly terrorist plot, a team of SEALs is dispatched on a global manhunt. As the men of Bandito Platoon race to stop a coordinated attack that could kill and wound thousands of innocent civilians, they must balance their commitments to country, team, and their families back home.

Based on real events, the film combines stunning combat sequences, up-to-the minute battlefield technology and heart-pumping emotion for the ultimate action adventure."

Here's my review for this one: http://londonfilmfanatiq.com/2012/03/12/act-of-valour/

I totally thought I was seeing something called Act of Velour. Figured it was gonna be some kind of stoner comedy. Imagine my surprise!
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

not sure about this one, as I am not a fan of bad ass comandos, nor any kind of weaponry and even less of mass killing...

after a good hour of incessant killing, I realised that I may not be the target audience, and after 2 hours of more killing I started wondering who the f**k is the target audience!

I would not have had any grief against this, if it was made as a documentary, but this one was not a documentary just a bloody (sic!) movie.

I was really well behaved and did not walk out, it cost me a lot!

5/10 because it was rather well shot

Having seen the trailer, I think their target audience is teenage boys.
