What kk, funthing and celini said!
Thanks to mandmc10 for the last minute tickets, when I found I could go after all. I really enjoyed this, a shame Holloway Odeon was almost empty tonight! Lovely to see ejwrank's husband who kept me company, and celini at the end.

Re: Wild Bill
What a complete triumph! I loved this film, despite the weirdest looking kid on the planet - I could watch his facial expressions all night.
I went to this tonight knowing (purposely) only 2 things about the film - Wild and Bill. To say I was pleasantly surprised doesn't come close. If I had to complain it is because I remember thinking to myself how much I was really enjoying the film....then it stopped. End. I really wish it could have been maybe 20 minutes longer (although it didn't really need anymore story to complete the film).
I didn't recognise Andy Serkis simply because I haven't a clue what he even looks like....Gollum....Cornelius in Planet of THe Apes?
Oh boy does Sean Pertwee look like his dad now? He only did a teeny cameo but if they are thinking of doing a remake of Worzel Gummidge they need look no further!
What a shame that Edinburgh Vue had about 15 people in the cinema - tops. That must be the lowest turnout for a Telegraph screening I have ever seen. Any ideas why? Have their been poor reviews somewhere? I can't imagine why.
An easy 8-9/10. Single criticism - make it longer!

Re: Wild Bill
portsmouth vue had about 40% turn out in its smallest screen, reckon its uncomfortable viewing for some of the readership

Re: Wild Bill
9/10...so tired right now to write much, so basically what PXC said...who said "what kk, funthing and celini said". This actually felt like a British version of Carlito's Way and its a superbly crafted one, perfect pacing, touching drama, riveting build in tension to that climatic end, and beautiful performances by all including the 10 year old. The actor who played Eustace Diggory in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader always looked like he would be destined to be an excellent British character actor and he has more than proved that in this film. Loved it. Did I give my rating? I did, oh I'll give it again.
9/10

Re: Wild Bill
I pa*d to see this at Showcase Insider preview tonight and have to say it was worth every penny! (£4.50 on a Tuesday night)
I did not know a great deal about the story before going but found it to be such a realistic picture of life in some areas.
The contrast of the poverty/poor housing, within sight of the Olympic buildings, was quite significant.
I thought the acting was very good and the pace of the story was just right.
I would have loved to see a " ....and they all lived happily ever after ending" but the ending at least gave hope for them all
Marks 8.5/10

Re: Wild Bill
It was so busy, the pedestrians had to walk onto the road. It's really not the ideal place to host premieres (at Haymarket).
