NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
SAVE YOUR VOUCHERS for something worthwhile!
And why the HUNGER Games, the only hungry people were us waiting for an extra half hour!
I will make a note of the cameraman, never seen a handheld camera so unstable!
Sooooooooooo boring for me!
The acting was bland and direction non existent: Stanley Tucci alla Katy Perry, Jennifer Lawrence half way between Winter's Bone and Robin Hood, the only character created was by Wes Bentley. Total meaninglesness, total waste of time!

I really enjoyed this. Kept thinking how the lead actress looks a lot like Renee Zelwegger?!

Garbage.

If you want to see a quality movie about voyeuristic survival to the death, go out and rent "Battle Royale".
It's at least a million times more intelligent and, as a bonus, completely free of any Jetsons hairdos. Stanley Tucci looked ridiculous.

Back from Braehead, the only free preview in Scotland. Luckily we were in a different screen from the p*ying customers who were all female and mid teenagers. They were in screen 5 whilst we were in screen 10. Lovely to finally meet Ploggit. MGellaty had dinner with us before whilst I saw teddybear1, moggers and stuartboy. Nice to see him not sit at the front.

Well never read the books I didn't know what to expect. It is not perfection and at times I was bored. For a film about children killing each other there were that much of it. I guess that's how they go round to being a 12A. OH who has read the book said it missed bits of the book and didn't give much of the background of The Hunger Games. She felt it was too clean and had they made it a bit more gory to justified a 15 it might had been better. For me I think the concept of children/young adults trying to kill each with me doesn't sit right. However it was above average so 7/10

I quite enjoyed The Hunger Games! Although the expectations were quite high, given the reviews I had seen prior, it still went up there to match them. I really enjoyed the sound effects, which sometimes made me feel within the whole plot. I would give it a 9/10

I am still in 2 minds about this film. I can see it will be huge, I am not sure if the comparisons with "Battle Royale" are fair, it's like comparing apples with oranges (or even a cabbage). I can't help thinking though whether she (the author) nicked the idea from Battle Royale though. That's a 2000 film and she pulbished her book in 2008. I do have a soft spot for Gary Ross, I love his films. Pleasantville is one of my favourite films.

Seriously?

"Battle Royale": In the future, the Japanese government captures a class of ninth-grade students and forces them to kill each other under the revolutionary "Battle Royale" act.

"The Hunger Games": Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television...
