Apparently it was for the London Metro Newspaper special preview competition and instead of individual winning e-tickets they gave the winners a code to redeem @ SFF.

Maybe they have a certain allocation reserved for comp winners and the rest is now going out to the masses. Either way, it makes a mockery out of that competition if you can get tickets with SFF anyway.

not as big a mockery as the poor people that p*y for theatre tickets and then SFF give them out for free... and when sky/times give out tickets via sky-for-all/times-for-all...

I hope this film is not really horribly oversubscribed, there have been so many codes for the same screenings and tickets didn't go that quick considering there shouldn't have been that many on each one.

Maybe Metro were given an allocation like all the others that have given out a code but decided to do a competition for it instead of just release it.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

I depends how long you've been on fmuk, but a few years ago it used to be a regular thing that each screening had loads of codes. It never made them any more or less oversubscribed than when there's just one code, that depends on the popularity of the film.

To be fair, there are three other screenings for this as well and most people prefer a 6.30pm starting time.
