Well Done TheyCallMeMrGlass, that’s really good. So far I’ve lost 1 stone and 9 pounds, really hope to lose another 5 pounds before Christmas so that I've lost 2 stone. Although I’ve got quite a few parties coming up so I’m going to go to the gym more to compensate, then hopefully I will keep losing it. Still a long way to go.......

@ jmd1983 Thats great news o/ Did you change your physical activity/exercises or eating habits in the last week? Keep it going with whatever you were doing in that last week, as long as you eating healthy, of course ;)

@ AnneJ, that's fantastic progress too! o/ Keep it going, more gym sounds really good (as opposed to eating less) but another thought I have is if you already do a lot of gym work then maybe dont over do it? Keeping on the same track you already on may be fine, the extra calories consumed over xmas may only just keep you at the same weight during that period Just a thought though :)

@ Diane65, oh, I probably will get annoying if I did! But we're all motivating each other here, including yourself, especially as you seem to be pretty knowledgeable in this area :)

I've been thinking about this one TheyCallMeMrGlass and as silly as it may sound I thought I would (with the aid of my little ones) draw and cut out the sweet food I think is acceptable for the Christmas period.... Things like say…. 4 Christmas mince pies and one small Christmas pudding, x number of quality street etc......and that's going to cover my fridge 8O .

Might stop me binging but if i do I have the limit in front of me so I shouldn't feel too guilty afterwards?? 8O but also allows me to realise that its actually Christmas :roll: and to relax.

But supporting each other is a great idea :p

yeah you have to allow yourself to have something nice every so often allsinging...especially christmas. so setting yourself a limit sounds like a good idea.

@theycallmemrglass: i tried to change the type of food i ate over the past week. even though i am still consuming the same amount of calories and doing the same amount of exercise, it's healthier food at the moment. so i think that's helped. but with a wrecked house (building work) and a long commute it is so tempting to have a quick sandwich or microwaveable meal instead of a proper home cooked meal...

Hey BB, don't worry about it. It's difficult when you're focussed on something else. Exam is done now (how did it go?) so you'll be back on track. Well dont' for how well you've done so far!

And well done to everyone who's been posting! Wow what a lot of progress!

I have not lost even a pound since this thread started. If anything, I only put on an additional stone. Self control is so hard. I should just have my lips sewn like in Coraline. I just can't do it, nor get myself on my cross trainer or bike machine. :(

If I were rich enough, I'd do liposuction! :crying:

Well done everyone and a_person don't beat yourself up about it, we all have our ups and downs.
I've got my first Christmas Do tonight with work and I'm out for a meal and going the Theatre tomorrow, I can choose healthy tomorrow and tonight it's a set menu so I'll have to dance energetically tonight ;) I'm doing a 3 hour hill walk in the Peaks on Sunday so hopefully it will balance out. I think we'll just have to keep encouraging each other, thanks everyone for your ideas and inspiration o/

BB, hope you passed your exam! Now you can get back on the WW track ;

Wow, have fun doing that hill walk, Diane65!

Because I freelance, I have 5 clients so far inviting me to xmas dos! But I will enjoy them and not worry too much what i eat on those evenings because they are just one offs. As long as keep up the healthy diet and exercise lifestyle, I should still be on track. So I say to all enjoy the dos, dont over indulge, and stay on track rest of the time!

I saw my doctor yesterday (thanks to Anakin, Valda for the tip) and as you girls predicted, the doctor was happy with my self initiation and said I'm on the right track. Furthermore he referred me to a dietician to ensure I am eating the right foods. I know there is a lot wrong with the NHS at times but when you compare the public services they provide compared to other countries, I feel damn lucky to live here :)
