Let them drink wine then! Thought we were lucky to have the choice but maybe I'm more easily pleased with freebies. Of course the lady next to me who was greedy and got second drinks before having her first and then proceeded to spill red wine all over my bags (ruining one in the process) made me wonder if wine was a good choice either!

We liked the film. Yes it was silly and lots of the dialogue was ridiculous (I'm hoping that was intentional) but we thought it was a great watch.

The sound was full on and I think that distorted the the dialogue which was not clear-- luckily it didn't much matter what they were saying most of the time.

Light opening almost worked, Battleship sequence itself also fun, other 110 minutes, not so much. Noisy, ugly, awful.
Uhm, you and your friend weren't discussing '30 Rock', 'Amelie' and some other stuff before the movie by any chance, were you? A journalist-looking dude was sitting very close to me.
No, I suffered the film weeks ago, didn't need to be seen in public catching the film thankfully :)

was really glad they didnt do the whole 'take you phones' thing and put it in bags before the film and of course nice for the free drinks and popcorn on the seats o/

now the film i actually really enjoyed it, would have thought rihanna would have been rubbish but she wasnt so bad. a few jokes in the film and thought it was pretty gripping especially with the sound practically blasting

9/10

Saw this today, was surprisingly entertaining even with all the cheese and cliches, loved the ship design, which is possibly why it held my attention for so long, saw the after credit scene too, made me laugh, and one of the cinema cleaners(who had asked us to leave kindly) was shocked when there was actually a scene at the end, and that we were much more clued up than they were(you can say that again!)

5/10 mainly for effects, didnt really have a plotline or end game, aliens for the sake of aliens.

I am, after all, what you made me.

I can't even be bothered to say anything about this apart from

1 Taylor Kitch needs hair
2 Rhianna needs hotpants and make up
3 Battleshite

2/10 for the booze
LOL Battleshite.. :giggle:

Been so busy I am now just catching up on everyone's thoughts on this. Sorry I couldnt make this but will be seeing at the Sky Superscreen today as part of my "run to cinema and see whatever crap is on" training.

They are not supposed to ask you to leave. I would be unhappy if they did that to me.
I notice that at most of my Cinemaworld screenings, the staff waits patiently at the side for the credits to finish before starting to clean. Most of the time its just me left at the smaller screenings, so sometimes they will commence cleaning but stay well clear of me. Then when I leave, they would say bye to me. I know some of you hate some of the cineworld venues but I generally find the staff friendly and considerate.

James King (London Tonight) gave it 2/5

Is it really a big marketing fuss (big tv ads etc.) over nothing? (like they do on occasions)

This was probably the loudest film I've ever seen, saw it at the Empire in Leicester square. Shame it was such a bad script for the film.
