Too quick of a change in character for my liking.
Jayman wrote: Ok, so there is apparently logic to this whole thing but I had to visit IMDB to fully understand it.
Seems Loki had everyone under his control, and as Banner says in the last scene before turning into the The Hulk "The secret is...I'm always angry". And then he voluntarily transforms into the monster. So he does have full control. But then why does he almost try to kill Thor and Black Widow earlier? Well, you remember that scene where he was wielding Loki's weapon and becoming increasingly furious? I guess that's the dead giveaway as to how Loki was messing with all of their minds. I didn't p*y much attention to it because he seemed to snap out of it almost immediately following his speech. Perhaps falling out of the ship snaps him out of it for good, much like what happens with Hawkeye.
If that is what happens, it could have been depicted clearer imho.
Ah thanks for that Jayman, explains it better. And yes agree, it could have been depicted better.

Ah I'm just reminiscing The Incredible Hulk TV show, remember that Jayman? I used to love that as a kid. Might get it on DVD.

Of course. That's what made The Incredible Hulk movie so much better for me.

"Don't make my hungry. You wouldn't like me when I'm hungry"

Lou Ferrigno, the original Hulk, even provides the voice of the green behemoth in the movies.

Yeh he does. That reminds me, one of the other scenes I quite enjoyed was when,
Iron Man drops back out of the sky and is on the floor and Captain America and Thor think he's dead and Hulk is also staring down then roars and wakes him up! Gosh that roar could probably set off an earthquake!
Is Hulk your favourite character Jayman?

Oh ya, that was quite funny hehe.
I'd say it's a tie between him and Spidey. Grew up watching their shows on TV (real-life & cartoon) and reading all of their comics, so that helped. I love the X-Men too.
Movie-wise though, my personal favourite is and always will be the original 1978 Superman. Probably more for nostalgic reasons than anything else. :)

I was at the O2 last night thanks to raineylb and I too almost entered Elfie Hopkins... good thing I was stopped as I would have seen the film illegally! Too young! Anyway, I absolutely loved this. I thought it was brilliantly written by Joss Whedon and the action sequences were outstanding. I think it's one of the best Marvel superhero films yet produced, if not the best.

Anyway, here's my review: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/201 ... -assemble/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Caught this at the o2 on Thursday and thought this was a roller-coaster ride. One that I would gladly go on again and again and again.
Didn't realise about the running time which probably meant the story actually flowed and built up quite well.

One of the better films that I've seen this year and would highly recommend even for non-comic fans. The 3D wasn't too bad either. ;)
There were actually some scenes that made me jump out of my seat!
Although the story flowed quite nicely the build-up to the finale was rather drawn out and perhaps could've come a wee bit earlier. Having said that, the finale was intense and epic!
Not sure if this is a Whedon style but some of the direction and cinematography was rather clever and actually quite 'arty'.
Anyway, highly recommend this one... 9/10 o/

I'm pretty sure it was Whedon style. Some shots were just totally him and i recognised his creativeness from watching his shows, movies and listening to his commentarys. Like when i saw the shot of Cap being framed in the wing mirror of a bike i thought: "Oh yeah! Thats totally a Whedon shot"

Or the helicarrier flying shot with crash zoom in the middle. Very Firefly.

When I am going to read a bl**dy review without the word Whedon!
It's worst than the Battle Royale mentions for The Hunger Game.

Isn't that like saying: "When am i ever going to have a drink without having to touch a bottle?"

Whedon made the film. Kind of hard to talk about the movie without giving credit to the guy that made it (and therefore was responsible for containing all of the frames into one movie)
