Ooh Preston1990 you're a hard man 8O
Just returned from my carvery you'll be pleased to know that I had 2 roast potatoes, 1 yorkshire pudding, 1 slice of beef and loads of veg feeling very stuffed now but really enjoyed it. You're lunch sounds very healthy.
I will have to wait until next week for one of your creme eggs but as you say remember the thighs so just one on my treat day roll on next weekend

Love the avatar that's so funny :rofl2:

Actually to be serious for once Diane, that sounds really quite restrained. Just 1 slice of beef, 1 Yorkshire and 2 roasters. I'm very impressed with your will power - I couldn't have done that if I'd been there. The veg doesn't really count - it's full of nutrients without being calorie laden. Even though you say you've had a day off from the diet I still think that you did really well - so well done! o/

Just put all thoughts of Creme Eggs out of your mind now. ;) :D

I'm aiming for a wednesday a.m. weigh-in as that will be the end of the first week for me. I know its only been a few days so far, but I can't wait to see if I've lost any weight. It's probably just psychological, but I actually do feel a bit thinner. I so hope I don't regret saying that when wednesday comes around. There could be a major loss of face coming my way.

I only had one slice of beef as OH had taken my slice of Gammon and Turkey (so more a case of theft rather than will power- he never puts on weight  ) and I did have some cauliflower cheese so was definitely substantial. but thanks for the compliment.

Its porridge for breakfast (about 300 calories), French onion soup (cheating out of a tin) with a bread roll and an apple (350 calories) and then hot cajun chicken (cheating again but it is fresh chicken with a bag of sauce), salad and potato wedges (made by me with one potato in a bag mixed with a few sprays of oil, curry powder, garlic, cumin and chicken seasoning and then roasted - I steam it first ie in a bag made of tin foil for 20 mins then roast it as otherwise it sticks to the roasting tin due to lack of oil (I've scraped the remnants off many a time)) followed by pineapple and ice cream (500 calories) and maybe a hot chocolate options at bedtime (40 calories) and then about 50 calories in my black coffee (I used to think it was zero but its 5 - 10 calories) and weak cordials. So that's my 1200 calories sorted for the day (what could I omit to fit in a 180 creme egg :shifty: )

Going to do a bit of exercise today as off to Quarry Bank Mill (free National Trust thanks to raj101) so can incorporate a brisk walk in the country (if its raining tough I'll just get wet), I won't take much money so I can't b*y anything.

What's your meal plan for the day young man? Hope you've finished organising your sock drawer

I need to get a tracker then if I see it each day it will keep me motivated.

both my parents had half a cheesecake each last night, I resisted temptation knowing full well that half of a cheescake is over 700kcal according to the box...

I'm impressed with that sterling display of self control rawr-xoxo! o/ Well done you!
Cheesecake really is a good one to avoid on a diet.

Smiled at the "Young Man" reference

I was young once though!

 :GazesWhistfullyToTheHorizonRememberingBackTo WhenHeWasYoung: .....

Ahem.....er....yes...

BREAKFAST: Sliced up a quarter of a watermelon and had that with a pot of earl grey (no milk or lemon).

LUNCH: Just about to do a microwaved jacket potato (not a £10 NT one). Will have that with a teeny bit of olive oil instead of butter, as trying to avoid saturated fats. Also, will be having green beans with freshly ground black pepper and possibly a smearing of tomato sauce if it looks a bit dry.

DINNER: Not sure yet, will see how I feel later, and check what's in fridge and freezer.

Your recipes all look like great tasy low calorie options. I'm taking notes and will be stealing them (and any others I can find - like the ones elski and others have linked to or shared on the forum) for my own use next week.

I know that its best to aim for a gentle weight loss - I hear 2lb /week is ideal. However, I have loads to lose, so I'm trying to make some good inroads this week to kick start that. I think if I can manage a good start this will spur me on a bit to stick out the tough times later on once I've plateaud, which I know will happen.

Well done Diane, for going for the brisk walk today o/ - stuff like that has got to help in the scheme of things. My next NT excursion is planned for wednesday coming.

I'm not sure that you should be even thinking of having creme eggs at this stage. You should maybe wait until after your first week and see how you are doing before you take the reward.

Remember it's a dangerous game to play - One egg may not always be un oeuf. :shifty:

"Eat Less, Excercise More" - That's going to be my mantra from now on. May even have a swim or two at some point. :D

I'm looking forward to seeing a veritable sea of "weght loss trackers" on this thread soon. Don't be shy everyone, come and keep Diane, me and all of the others here company. We can all encourage each other!

Think of the synergy - It's going to be great - we can all be thinner and fitter for the summer.

You've got nothing to lose - except for that excess weight!

I'm sorry - I'll get my coat! :shifty: :tears:

Was meant to be going to the gym yesterday and today but due to the bf having a hangover on both days. neither has happened lol
Shame its his birthday week, means no gym till next weekend now!
Ive got work tomorrow so no gym
Tuesday hes going out for his bday.(Im aiming to do a jog in the day though, trying to start up!)
Wednesday he might be going thorpe park(if not well be going gym), if he is, ill be going gym with my mom
Thursday its his bday treat - The Avengers
And Friday Ive got work again :/
Suppose the amount of walking around ill be dloing at both work shifts will compensate for something! (Did 18000+ steps on friday night alone)

My meal plan for today has been(so far)
30g of rice krispies multigrain cereal and skimmed milk
Lunch: Sweet Chilli Salmon fillet, oven chips, petit pois and green beans.
For a treat dessert, I had 100g of Ben and Jerrys Karamel Sutra(yes you read that right)
And for dinner Im planning on having a creamy mushroom rigatoni ala Weigthwatchers o/
Shadowhunters: Looking better in black than the widows of our enemies since 1234.

You're meals sound very healthy, I might try the creamy mushroom rigatoni and maybe the Ben and Jerrys Karamel Sutra if I could find out the calorie content as I've just googled an image of it and I would really like one (I regret looking now).
What a lot of steps you did 8O I don't move my body much at work.

Preston you sound like you're in the right mindset so go for it but do I have to humour your dire un oeuf joke ;)
Its very hard not to think of creme eggs as as soon as I post on this thread I've got one looking at me :noo:
Still can't believe that you aren't hungry with a bit of water melon for breakfast; I would be in that loft of yours rummaging for the eggs.

I did go for my brisk and a bit muddy walk today but luckily the rain kept of during the walk so feeling refreshed.

I would be on the hunt for the burglar especially as it sounded so delicious.

The menu for today is:
All Bran
Ham roll, cup a soup and an apple for lunch
Dinner depends on dental work (going for a procedure at 3.30pm would be nice if I knew what but I have a problem root so have to go to the dental hospital :noo: ) but it will be healthy.

Really do need to fit in some exercise somewhere.

I too will have my weigh in on Wednesday as I started last Tuesday, looks like its just the 3 of us on the mission to get the body beautiful and just the 2 of us needing to loose weight. ;) We'll be as tight and toned as the rest of FMUK by the summer o/
