Valda please read what TheyCallMeMrGlass has written above he obviously knows what he is talking about, you are too lovely to be sad :( It must be hideous not being able to sleep, you will be worn out before you start your day so don't be too harsh on yourself.
I also agree that I am mad doing an invigorating walk after 5 hours sleep, I wasn't saying that I have problems sleeping I got in late hence didn't get to bed until 2am but always do my Sunday walk no matter what, so don't deserve any sympathy. I will try and be good and get my 7 hours :P
That London walk sounds good!

Thank you Mr Glass and Diana65, your kind thougths and words are well received.

I don't have a hectic life, far from it. I got to work, if I'm lucky, a movie a week and go to the gym. Occassionally I'll go to a show or gig. I live on my own, my sister is about100 miles away and the only one left in the family. I'm perfectly happy with my own company most of the time, but periodically get this black cloud hanging over me that I can't shift. However, once Christmas and all that is over, I expect I'll feel better.

I've been eating lots of random things that aren't good for me and all my gym classes are finished until after Christmas ( I don't go running or anything like that). I've got near enough 2 weeks off coming up so hopefully I'll chill a bit more and get some sleep in.

Hope everyone else is good?

Life can be hectic even if you don't have many 'official' obligations though. So yeah, enjoy your time off work and relax :)

I for one am really looking forward to having almost 2 weeks off work. Can't wait to give up the commute for a bit.

But....I am already noticing my slowly expanding waistline with all the Christmas lunches and dinners as well as shopping trips. And it is such a great excuse isn't it? "I'll have just one more ice cream/mulled wine/piece of cake/packet of crips (delete as appropriate) because it's Christmas!"

I'll have to tray and make myself ignore the half price section in Tescos. It may very well be half price that's no reason to b*y 12 mini quiches half a pint of cream and stuff that I wouldn't normally b*y. Big craving at the moment for plain ol chocolate especially chocolate buttons. (got a small bag to take to the cinema tonight) Just say NO vx

Now now now, ladies, whats all this talk about chocolate then? Contain yourselves, you know you got to watch your...uh...did someone say plain chocolate?!? Can...can I have some :D

You know what, these supermarkets are just plain damn evil. They give us half price alright. But on biscuits, chocolates, cakes, icecream and pizzas! There's hardly any discounts for anything GOOD for ya! Evil evil.

Valda, great to hear you and you're right, gyms and sport centres are shut so lets all enjoy the xmas period, have fun, and eat merrily!

But when we can, lets try not to over indulge and best way to do that is to remember our goals. Remembering our goals constantly, fuels our will power.

Btw I've been finding out more about that london walk I was talking about last week. There's several different hidden treasure walks in London including 2 rings that circle central London! Here's the website link for those interested and living in London. Since my badminton club and gyms are shut, I can do these walks(or jogs) instead!

Great to hear from you Valda and hope you are feeling a little better, I too love the Giant chocolate buttons but I'm with you TheyCallMeMrGlass with adoring plain chocolate especially Green and Blacks :P
I now have 12 boxes of chocolates/biscuits off my patients (I'm guessing by the shapes of the pressies) and it will take all my willpower not to stuff my face with them :noo:
My waist line is also increasing like jmd1983 due to having lots of Christmas meals etc, I have just tried on my dress ready for Saturday night and it is very snug, I think I need to walk to London and do one of the walks or get my jaw wired til Saturday!
Sounds brilliant all you lot with 2 weeks off work and Valda hope you get some rest and we are all here if you need us.

Diane, if they do turn out to be chocs or biccies, how about (unless you have family that will want it) giving some of them to a neaby hospital or retirement home? It is the season of goodwill after all and you'll feel less guilty / tempted and you will make some people feel loved and happy. I only say this because I had "junk" mail from a nearby reirement home and thought that I might do something like that.

Well done everyone by the way, especially given the season, everyone is doing great! o/

Good Idea but some are from patients in the local rest home so would be difficult but I could give them to the homeless. And your right it is the season of goodwill and I don't need to eat everything I'm given ;)
