Sylvester Stallone has said that the next film in the popular 'Rambo' franchise will be the last, and that it will see Vietnam vet John Rambo go out with a bang.
“He realises what his destiny really is. It’s not to be a farmer, it’s not to be obscure; it’s to go out in a blaze of glory in a heroic fashion”, he told The Express.
Sly, who will next be seen in 'The Expendables 2', has starred as the character four times, with the most recent outing coming out in 2008. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the first film being released.
'Rambo: First Blood' was based on a popular novel, although Stallone was not the first choice for the character. The likes of Clint Eastwood, Al Pacino and even John Travolta were reportedly considered for the role.
65-year-old Stallone
has enjoyed recent success with 'The Expendables', which features a group of ageing action stars as well as a few younger screen heroes. It was a big hit and the sequel is set to be even more explosive.

Mark Ruffalo has hinted there could be more from his Incredible Hulk alter-ego after revealing he has signed a six-film deal with Marvel.
The 44-year-old takes on the role of the mean, green smashing machine in Avengers Assemble, following Eric Bana and Edward Norton's portrayals of the character.
"[I've signed on for] six, yes," he told Collider.com, adding that he would relish the opportunity to make more films with the Hulk.
"The experience too was great. I really had a good time and it was fun. I loved that group of people."
Mark previously teased that he would love to make a guest appearance in Thor 2.
"That would be cool. Thor could show me a good time in Asgard!" he joked.
Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige previously revealed that there are no further plans for another Hulk screen outing.
"Well, no. I mean, this was the third appearance of Hulk and everything that we had and were going for, we put into Hulk's appearance in Avengers. So, I love that people are saying that and are feeling that way about Hulk, but mission accomplished at this point," he told The Huffington Post.
However, Paul Gitter from Marvel Entertainment said otherwise, due to the "phenomenal response" to the Hulk.
"If the Hulk's successful turnaround continues, Marvel will spin him off to a stand-alone [TV] programme next year, supported by a big budget franchise movie in 2015," he told Forbes.com.

That would be so random and is this franchise even still good? I've only seen the first 2 or 3 films...

I thought Gareth Evans said he's not ready not Hollywood yet, but he is replacing Darren Aronofsky on Break The Bank.

Re: Movie Gossip and News
..Robert Downey Jr could be teaming up with Tom Cruise on action comedy El Presidente.
The Iron Man star is rumoured to be in talks to play a former US President (and bumbling sleaze), who is forced to go on the run with an overzealous Secret Service agent (a role Tom is attached to) when his life is put in danger, reported Vulture.
Jay Roach, who directed the Austin Powers films and Meet The Parents, is considering taking control of the presidential comedy.
Jack Nicholson was previously linked to the role of the ex-leader.
Robert - who recently reprised his superhero role in Avengers Assemble - has a few projects lined up in the near future, including Iron Man 3 and a rumoured Avengers sequel.
Tom will next be seen showing off his singing skills in Rock Of Ages, the big-screen adaptation of the hit musical, before returning to action in the thriller One Shot and sci-fi thriller Oblivion.
