also went to the sky screening yesterday, great to have a goody bag thanks sky, i havent experienced 3D in the cinema since Jaws 3D, not including disney florida in which i was amazed by the 3D and 4D shows, at first it did take a few minutes for my eyes to adjust but after that i was really impressed by the 3D effect and deep layering of the picture, i was expecting more jump out the screen surprises but probably not the film for that, i would rate this film as 'nice' 7/10, the storyline was very predictable it was a matter of when not if, i believe it has wide appear the love story tied in with the war action must admit didnt really notice it being dark as other reports have suggested,

saw the screening last night too, very impressed by the 3d, thought it was very good. The movie plot was a little ropey, but typical fantasy, fall in love, save the planet theme.

Very happy to get the goody bags, hope they do that more often, free food and drink always a bonus when going the movies.

I would recommend to others to see it, worth I reckon

As goody bags go, this one was fairly standard, I have had some with T-shirts, notebooks, DVDs and other stuff in them.

Saw this lastnight, and seeing again Sunday, then against nxt Wed, risked it and bkd all 3 showings up before hearing a word about it, and fortunately its absolustely incredible film and experience, one of the very finest films ever put out, definitely as revolutionary as the reviews say. Loved the story too, nothing wrong with simplistic story telling, Cameron does that with all of his films, top director on top of his game, has to be experienced. 10/10.
Upcoming films want to see;
Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Best films seen recently;
Tenet
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
In The Heights
A Quiet Place 2

Just back from the IMAX and am rather disappointed.

The opening was amazing, for 20 minutes I was in pure heaven, fun, fast and lots of new things offered to discover. Until Jake was chased away, that's when the film got off. The Na'Vi were dull and the dialogue from them, unlike the human characters, was dull and just painfully cheesy. The second hour, man becomes Na'Vi, was never interesting and by the end I was rooting for Lang's colonel, he was fun and awesome, and the knife fight, legendary.

Unfortunately, like a fight scene, this film was hit and miss.

And the environmental message, hammered home or what?

3D was never groundbreaking or game changing, I challenge Monsters vs Aliens, a terrible film with amazing 3D.
7/10

Saw Avatar last night and thought it was brilliant. When I arrived at the cinema at 4.50pm, there was already a massive queue so was quite worried they were going to be quite funny about letting people in.
The film was better than I expected and even though some bits were slightly exaggerated, I found myself engrossed in the film and the time did go quite quick. I do agree with others that they could have cut it short by 30 minutes but overall it was a great film. 9/10

The bonus was also having a goodie bag so I am now hoping that sky will supply more goodie bags to their screenings in the new year.

Don't get used to it. I think Sky were on a charm offensive trying to get new subscribers. The people I was sitting next to were filling out the application form before the film started.

the story was average and the visuals were exceptional. i wished i had held out to watch it in full imax! but it raises the issue of why do you go to the cinema? for spectacle or story? i suspect that if it wasn't a cameron vehicle people would be a lot more scathing about the very predictable story

also my goodie bag only had a sky book in it, popcorn and a drink. awww. somebody raided my bag.
