It was to make the point TC was no longer there to keep them at bay. Why they croaked I do not know

Thank heavens I'm not the only one, agree with your kids!

I guess I made the right decision not to see this film...
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Be glad that you read the reviews, now you can save yourself from the suffering and you won't waste your time. If you are familiar with the old Top Cat cartoons then I would say this was similar but worse. The story was not interesting, especially for the children and the 3d was an insane waste of time. If they had been given the DVD's away for free then I would have politely refused one.

I actually don't agree with this, the kids were so well behaved today that I think most of them may have liked it! (I don't believe that they all fell asleep!)
I even passed by one asking his mum if he could get the DVD when we were leaving!

It's just not as enjoyable for an adult as a (recent) Disney or a Pixar movie.

Perhaps we are (I am) just spoilt these days, there have been some really good films lately, thinking especially of Lorax, Rio, Tangled and Puss in Boots.

So lovely to see so many FMUKers today and especially enjoyed meeting Isabel, what a cutie, and so friendly! Thanks for the World Book Night books, c_t and tilly.

There were a lot of activities in the foyer, shame I was not young enough to enjoy them! Although I managed to get a photo!

It turned out that there were three screens showing this morning at Vue West End, Screen 5, 6 and 7! No wonder, they were so liberal with the requests for tickets. mandmc10 was having awful trouble with her trains this morning and I was keeping her abreast, when I enquired at the people giving out the 3D glasses, sweets and drinks whether they would still be there after the film started, as a friend is running late, they said, no worries, they will be sent upstairs as another screen is showing the film. Then it turns out mandmc10's plus 1 and child, who were on time were sent to screen 6, and mandmc10 was sent to screen 7 whilst most of FMUK were sent to screen 5.

OMG, I kept nodding off and waking up, nodding off and waking up, several times, even though the volume was so LOUD! The film seems to go on forever, and it felt far longer than the 90 minutes. I was so bored. However, the kids I asked, said they enjoyed it. 8O

Here's my verdict on TC: http://londonfilmfanatiq.com/2012/05/17 ... the-movie/

So very, very bad.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Unfortunately we (daughter and I) arrived to watch this at the Trafford Centre this morning and it had been oversubscribed, we were one of the last few to unfortunately get in. It was a bit dire :noo: akh43, steve and his OH arrived a few minutes later and couldn't get in and were given the choice to watch any film they desired so I believe they had a fabulous time watching MIB while I was contemplating walking out. Obviously I'm not jealous :shifty: 3/10 my lowest score of the year.

We were gutted to find this was oversubscribed at Trafford Centre this morning, along with around a dozen other people. I think they must have put it in a really small screen. At first we were not haopy, but when we realised we could see any other film then we had second thoughts. Everyone finished up going to see MIB, much better film in our opinion, especially so on reading the reviews.

Hopefully this year we will get more free Manchester screenings :cross: as they are rare as hen's teeth nowadays :tears:
