Re: Weight Watchers
I think no matter how careful you are with what you are eating there are some days there seems to be no filling you and you go mad (well I know I do) usually regret it afterwards but by that time it's too late.
I will never have a marmite frenzy - hate the stuff!! Each to our own tastes!

I could always avoid eating anything if I first smothered it in Marmite, as I'm a Marmite-loather. Though I wouldn't like to adulterate good food. OH and I tease each other by inventing horrible dishes for each other and his worst suggestion for me is mushrooms in Marmite. I've tried to retaliate by inventing something vile with beetroot (I love it, he detests it) but I think he's winning!
And whilst I'm here: I suppose it is pretty incriminating to come here and mention Lardy Cake, isn't it? Thought so... better not say any more, then.

I love the stuff so it is possible that I will have a frenzy and mushrooms in marmite sounds quite nice. I like anything cooked or uncooked anyway except for sea food, lamb or cheese (except cottage or cooked-which I love).Biggins wrote:I will never have a marmite frenzy - hate the stuff!! Re: Weight Watchers
Todays Meals:
1) 1 weetabix with 30g blueberries and 100g skimmed milk. 120 ish cals (a small breakfast this morning to partly compensate for another unwarranted and shameful display of outright gluttony last night involving my old nemesis the toaster and 4 slices of bread .........and err
4 slices of ham
)
2) Raw celery and carrot battons to snack on. 60 ish cals
3) Large bowlful of lambs lettuce, plain cottage cheese, couchillo olives, cherry tomatos, red, green and yellow peppers (sliced), grated celariac, grated carrot, tuna and sweetcorn pasta. - 400 ish cals
4) Spicy bacon, mushroom and tomato pasta - 450 to 500 ish cals
5) Organic soup chicken/tarragon 600g - 298 cals
My first "walk from home" day to day, and with a bit of luck an exercise bike and a rower session too. Well that's my intention as I sit here and write it. But in reality who knows what will happen!!
What's everybody elses plans for today?
Remarkable restraint foodwise at the Carvery Diane!
- What did you think of Steve's choice of top last night though - did it pass scrutiny? Or were you forced to show your "Dark Side" again?

Re: Weight Watchers
Ha ha I didn't know that he had mentioned the top (I will have to explain myself on the relevant thread as I'm sure that he will have made it sound like I'm a witch)Preston1990 wrote: What did you think of Steve's choice of top last night though - did it pass scrutiny? As for the carvery situation I was genuinely stuffed I did have the extra potato on my plate but couldn't fit any more in.
Menu of the day:
Smoothie with milk, strawberries and a banana (250 calories)
Wholemeal bread ham salad sandwich, Greek yoghurt and an apple (350 calories)
Asda Thai chicken curry (356 calories) (I know that I do have the time to cook from scratch today but I b*ght 2 of these with the intention of freezing 1 but you can't freeze them and it needs to be eaten today- so its not that I'm being lazy
Small slice of malt loaf with butter (100 calories) I melt my butter in the microwave so that I only put a little bit on. (I have had a few butter disasters doing this but now got it timed to a fine art.
As I have no plans for today and extra time due to lack of food preparation I will do a 4 mile walk (I need to go to the bank so its 2 miles there so it can be the fartlek training while I put the cheque in) and my exercise DVD today. Then its my ironing hobby for the afternoon
Enjoy your walk Preston we are both doing the double exercise today
Good luck everyone else and love to hear your menus of the day

Re: Weight Watchers
I've been away from the board a bit, but am really impressed with how everyone is getting on! I hope you are all proud of yourselves!
Don't kick yourself when you have a setback - we're only human and if we're saintly all the time we're more likely to give up entirely, so just acknowledge it and move on (if you're the cheesy type, then you can learn from it too...!).
Have been eating out so much as in laws have been here for three weeks and I can't wait to eat home cooked food again. I've been picking mostly healthy foods, but I can't help but feel they can't be that good for you anyway. Been eating lots of fresh fruit, so am overall pleased with myself. Not thinking of the sugar...!
Anyway, keep up the good work everyone! This thread will be redundant before we know it!
