I indeed liked the first half an hour of Sunshine Boys (before the first curtain fall), then it went all downhill!
The stage was very good and the 3 main actors excellent! I was well impressed by De Vito, he looks like a genuinely funny guy! They had few props problems and then it was hilarious... probably the loudest laugh from the audience actually!
The play is just not very funny!

I really was not impressed with the nurse. Wouldn't have mind something like the corset/stocking ladies from RoA instead - they were quite sexy. She was way too tall and big for my liking. And her walk or bending down business was not sexy at all.

If Danny devito wasn't in it, I don't think it would have been that good. He was great.

Indeed. But this play is not supposed to be hilarious. It's not meant to be laugh out loud funny, more of a gentle comedy I think.
