i thought it was alright. it must get slightly funnier the more children you have, as most of the scenarios they portrayed i have been through with one of my little cherubs, so i found funny. but i definatly think it has a small target audience. i.e people with young children or they are pregnant.

Saw this in a packed Braehead tonight. Speaking to the Sky rep afterwards she said about 20 people didn't get in as over subscribed. I have to say that I and my friends did enjoy the film . . . probably because we've all been there and b*ght the t-shirt! Yes, film didn't tax the brain but presented many different scenarios re having a baby. Marks 7/10.

What a pile of steaming horse's plops!

I found this soooo tedious to endure. The characters - and there were far too many - were so similar that it was hard to even identify which couple was which. None of them gelled at all. I really wished I was tired enough to have a snooze. I couldn't even recommend this to a chick as a chick flick. Highlights of the movie were a fart and a sneeze! That is saying a lot! (And neither were mine I hasten to add!)

I also found it rather distasteful that one couple was portrayed as having to adopt from Ethiopia. Yes it is sad that people need to go to such lengths but also that there are unfortunate children in this situation and needing adopted, but this was unnecessary.
Also where was the pre-eclampsia, the gestational diabetes, the post natal depression and the stillbirths? Unrealistic.

I really felt for that little black kid (mostly for having to endure being in this movie) as well as being battered left, right and centre.

A measly 1.5/10 from me.

Yes, cliché ans typically US, but at least entertaining!
I guess the fact the cast were present added a bonus and made it better.

I arrived at the IMAX around 5.40pm to collect my comp tix, the fans pen were already 4 rows deep and everyone seems especially tall, and at the press end they were on platforms one storey high! Probably got better views up on the roundabout looking down as I noticed some people were. We saw the back of Anna Kendrick (nice dress), saw the director hugging Chace Crawford, Rodrigo Santoro and Matthew Morrison.

The Director introduced the cast before the screening, so we got a brief glimpse of them in the semi-darkness! So we had Chace Crawford (hugged by the Director again!), Rodrigo Santoro, Matthew Morrison, Anna Kendrick, Cheryl Cole and then last and not least Cameron Diaz.

The film was ok, thought it was more a made for TV film, and it took me some time to get into it as it was quite boring. There were a few comedic moments (the little black boy falling over in the park etc - he was so sweet), but overall I did not think it was that funny, the script was weak, and the characters did not gel, and I did not feel for any of them.

I saw an interview on breakfast TV yesterday with Anna Kendrick, and she said it was a no holds barred film, very graphic etc. so was expecting some gruesome birth giving, but it was pretty tame.

[spoiler]But I did like the twist with the stepmother turning out to be really nice and not an "evil" stepmother, and everything was all so perfect for her.[/spoiler]

Don't expect much! 5/10

We did get a nice goody bag - but on a hot day would have liked a bottle of water! However, the goody bag is obviously geared for the pregnant woman. All Palmer's cocoa butter products: a big jar of Tummy Butter for stretch marks, a big tube of massage cream for stretch marks, and for the men, cocoa butter with Vitamin E for body and face.

I have to disagree with most of the posts here. I thought the film delivered exactly what I expected - it was a light-hearted, easy-to-disgest chick-flick.

I went to the free showing in Wandsworth. Afterwards, they were filming for the commercial "reviews." Unsurprisingly, the reviews tended to be repeating whatever they were asked to say!

I found it to be a bit problematic from a "look, having children completes you" perspective. Quite light hearted, but as posters here have said, it feeds into myths rather than dealing with problems like post-natal depression. So a decent chick flick, but not really deep.
