The race starts on Sunday morning. I would have gone along to support him but unless Mr G looks like this it would be difficult to pick him out of the huge crowd.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Re: Weight Watchers
Good luck to my fabulous friend MrG, have a brilliant day and you must be so proud of your fitness journey
Thank you so much for your encouragement (I take it that I'm the only Diane that you know
)
WHERE IS MRG'S SPONSOR LINK?
Just done my exercise DVD how hard is it in this heat?
I drank 2 pints of water during and 1 pint after I finished, how's everyone else coping doing exercise in the heat? I'm sure that it will be worth it in the end

Re: Weight Watchers
Oh my word, thank you guys, just the thing I need, your precious vibes! I can feel it flowing through my veins now...yes, Mr marathon, you dont scare me now, IMA coming to rule your um...tar!
I have set up the fundraise, guys. I am so sorry to have delayed it. I was being selfish wondering if I actually deserved to be sponsored but then I thought, its not about me, its about the charity, I'm robbing them. Thank you all for the pressure and knocking sense into me.

I'll try to jazz it up a bit more, its looking rather basic.
I was trying to find my old post so I can start reading and catchup and I couldnt bloody find it! you guys have been phenomenal! You've rocketed this thread to a best seller! Sorry, its a bit too many posts for me to cram in right now and I do have to start packing for my trip but WELL DONE all of you, its overwhelming to see so many of you on a road to healthy lifestyles, its a joy to see that. The TickerFactory signatures are fantastic...well done Valda for getting many to use it. Its a powerful motivator to show everyone your progress. I'll adopt it too. I know I got this marathon on Sunday but frankly, I need to lose more bodyfat (I want to get back to 12% first, I am at 17% right now) and build more muscle mass for my sporting goals as my next target. That TickerFactory will keep me motivated for it.
You might wonder with all the running why I had not lost body fat. Well its because my body has got used to the running. To lose fat, you always have to change your routine every few weeks. So straight after the marathon, I'll start on the that mission next week.
Apologies for lack of posting yet again, during summer, I do work day and evenings so its kinda hard to keep up with the leisurely stuff. But in the next 3 days, I shall focus on updating you with my last minute preps and of course my run...oh which you can track me on my runkeeper on the day!
Oh btw today I ran 6km to the cinema to watch Cafe de Flore. Tomorrow, I will tour and chill around Edinburgh but I think I will catch a flick too and see MIB doing a small 3km run to get there :) I try integrate everything in the package including my films and running

Re: Weight Watchers
Just wanted to say a belated thanks to everyone for all your best wishes after my weigh-day earlier this week. It's much appreciated and is a great motivator to me to keep going.
I also wanted to thank Diane for the link to the http://www.mapmywalk.com/ site.
It really is a fab tool for measuring out and recording your walks. It's especially great because it allows you to measure over ground where no proper road or path exists and it provides details of height climbed and rate of inclines etc. I've logged all the walks I've done in the last few weeks on there now.
Me in shorts is definately NOT a pretty sight. Thankfully my shorts could in no way be described as "skimpy" - in fact my mate commented that they looked like the ones that Eric Morecambe wore in some famous sketch or other if that means anything to anyone.

Today's Menu
Water - 0 cals
Two Cafetieres of Fresh Black Coffee - 30 cals
1) Honey and vanilla smoothie. - 231 cals
2) Pear, Kiwi Fruit, Peach - 136 cals
3) Ice cold Gazpacho Soup - 276 cals
4) Calamari with Chilli and Lime served on a nest of Egg Tagliatelle - 267 cals
5) 2 slices of Toast with salmon pate. Pot of Earl grey Tea with lemon slices - 300 cals
Exercise
a.m. - exercise bike (35 mins)
p.m. - walk from home (65 mins)
evening - rowing machine (25 mins)
Good luck with whatever you are doing today guys!
If anybody's fallen off the wagon recently and given up, why not make today the day you start out afresh again.
If you have the chance - why not get out for a walk today? - don't just sit around at home or at your desks working this lunchtime - get out into the sunshine.
Let's all take a leaf out of Mr Glass's book - Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself!!
I also wanted to thank Diane for the link to the http://www.mapmywalk.com/ site.
HaHaHa - Careful, I'm within a whisker of posting a photo up - then you'd be sorry - it would undoubtably keep you all away from food for a bit though.Diane65 wrote: I trust you have added the bit about your fetching shorts to drive us ladies wild thinking of you in your skimpy shorts - handsome hunk and beautiful scenery what more could a girl ask for
Good call Diane!Diane65 wrote: I may go for a walk instead of the carvery![]()

Re: Weight Watchers
OH and I were going out to eat tonight but I'm too tired, and it's too hot, to walk up the hill. So I said I would cook instead, which means OH will have a much healthier meal - provided he doesn't wash it down with lots of alcohol, but that's beyond my control.
