I also saw this yesterday at the Holloway Odeon, it was my first time there, and i wasn't too impressed (but hey, there was popcorn and it was free!). The movie though, was surprisingly good, especially after reading so many mediocre reviews. It had a really nice middle-earthy feel to it, and the Dwarves and CGI were a real highlight. Stewart looked uncomfortable, but they could have chosen a lot worse than her for the lead role. I'd give this 7/10, thanks again to funthing29 for the tickets!

I thought it as visually stunning but I wasn't overly convinced by the way the story was told. Minor things like the colour of the young snow white's hair bothered me and I could tell I wouldn't have much patience for this going forward!

Charlize Theron was particularly good and the rest of the cast were fine (Chris Hemsworth seems to be everywhere these days - however I am not complaining!). The familiar faces who played the dwarves were a nice surprise. However the film felt a bit long for me and dare I say a bit dull in places.

Not awful at all but I think I was expecting more as I was really looking forward to it. Glad I got to see it on the big screen as i'm not 100% it would have held my attention at home. 6/10

Finally managed to get tickets after all my begging  and I am so glad I got to see SWATH.
I found the film to be captivating as the familiar story came to life in a different form to Disney's film which I adore!
Charlize Theron was great and stole the show as the wicked queen. :star:
Special effects were also very good. I suspect that a second film could follow . . .
I would have happily pa*d to see this film but delighted at getting freebies! o/

Marks 9/10

This film captivated me with its sets and fairy story/myth feel. I want to go to the enchanted forest so so much, loved the way the birds kept helping her (just like Disney's version) and those fairys were the cutest little baby faced darlings!! The dark forest was equally imaginative with all the scary shadows and foul stenches. Very well done.

Kirsten Steward fitted with the visual trend and little girl innocent acting and she tried her best for the epic speech but didn't quite have the passion to pull it off. Charlize stole the show as the evil queen, again the visual elements of her dripping in white, as the crow and always with fire in the background were stunning.

Like Opas, i liked that the dwarfs were familiar and added a bit of humour to proceedings.

all in all i enjoyed it - 7.5/10

I saw this the other day thanks to Diane65 and akh43.

I thought it looked great and the special effects, especially for the dwarves were very impressive.

But Kristen Stewart struggled in the shadow of Charlize Theron's scenery chewing performance, a bit like Alan Rickman dominating the old Robin Hood.
Whereas Kevin Costner just about held his own, Kristen Stewart seems a bit of a charisma vacumn at times, the movie would have defintely benefited from a stronger lead.
Anyone else think Snow White was going to saw something during the last scene? I thought a final rousing p*y off line was on its way, but it seemed like something was cut out to me, maybe her delivery was just too poor to include.

I agree. Something was definitely missing. I actually thought that there was more than just dialogue missing from this scene. It felt to me that it just jumped from an adversarial combat scene to a very easy instant defeat.
My two bobs worth on the ending
Yes boys it was a big fat let down, just too damn perfect for my liking BUT that could be because it WAS modeled on a fairy tale and they always have happy endings?? :D
I found much of the film tedious and uninteresting. The dark forest scenes were tiresome and the film relentlessly cliched and dull. The climatic fight scene lifted the tedium a bit. I generally like a bit of whimsy but the`fairy' scenes just seemed plain weird and out of place with the rest of the film. Why any of the dwarves could be bothered to follow Kristen Stewart was beyond me.

Saw this cheaply @ a flea pit of a cinema.

Ok, bit too long winded and missing something like others have said.

Nice scenery, few nice characters and some good visuals.

Kristen Stewart was nice in the movie.

(I had to tell a few girls off as they were talking, playing with their phone and making a noise, they quietened down except for a few moments)
