valda, if you go to the bus stop right at the beginning (is it A?) you can't go wrong, they all go to the Odeon from there.

Pleasant Disney film with a moral to the story. Just made it at 10.30am on the dot, car wouldn't start then just missed the metro. I was sat in front of 2 little girls who wouldn't stop kicking our seats even though I kept on asking them to stop :x The Grandma did apologise after she said she didn't realise!
6/10 from me.

I loved this, good old fashioned disney film. Went on my own. It reminded me of Cinderella in more ways than one. I was given the book for Christmas when I was about 7 years old so a million years ago. So I sat there in a little world of my own. The screening was about 90% full. The best bit, all the children in the audience were so well behaved, I could not believe it. Adults all seemed to enjoy the film as well. 8/10
Was handed a Princess and Frog poster as I left the cinema.

I saw it this at Camden Town this morning, the Odeon was closed when we got there and there was quite a long queue outside the cinema, they finally opened the shutters at 10.20am. Ten minutes later the cinema was almost 100% full with everyone seated with sweeets etc and the film started promptly at 10.30am, I was amazed, that everyone was so efficiently sat down in ten minutes flat!

There were a lot of children in the audience which is of course to be expected and I must say they were very well behaved, there was not a peep out of them for the entire film.
I loved the film, it even made me cry soppy cow that I am, I give it 8/10.

Saw this at edinburgh Wester Hailes this morning.

It took us 40 minutes to get there from north Edinburgh this morning. We had an inch or so ofsnow but the lovely council seemed not to have gritted the roads let alone cleared them so it was pretty hazardous getting there and when we did had the Odeon cleared the car park or salted it? No and it's on a hill. They hadn't even cleared the snow from the front path. It wasn't just this screening that was on, a local Church have their service there and they were all struggling to get in too.

Was it worth the effort getting there? Not for me. My husnabd thought the film was Ok and typical Disney fare, me I really disliked the singing; I know it's Disney and that's what they do, there was just too much and the film was about 20 minutes too long with silly added bits that did nothing to help the film along. There were a lot of little kids and they all behaved and kept quiet so i guess they enjoyed it and that's really what and who it's about not me! Still, i'd not go and see it, I'd b*y the DVD when it come out as the little kiddies will want to watch it over and over anyway!

The cinema was about 1/2 full - probably due to the inclament weather I'd guess.

4/10 from me. I think the kids would give it 5.5/10.

I saw this today at Camden Town. Like tufty said, doors were only opened at around 10:20. My OH was moaning about the cold, and I was thinking that I should have borrowed a child to accompany us to the cinema.

The film was a typical Disney film, geared towards children. Reminded me of the films I watched during my childhood. I think the film is enjoyable, but I agree with Beate when she said that it was instantly forgettable. 7/10

We seen this this morning at Odeon Braehead. The cinema was 90% full with lots of wee girls! The usual problem with numpties turning up 15-20 mins late and expecting to sit 6 people together. Film was good, the baby loved it with all the songs and loved the usual Disney death at the end lol. My 6 year old gives it a 9/10 but she is girly.
Just wanted to add another thanks to a_person for getting us tickets!

Hi, seen this with my grand -daughter in Odeon Cardiff. They opened the doors at about 10 so we didn't have to wait too long. I usually carry sweets and stuff in my pockets so no rush to the counter for us, I just leave her run to the seats she likes - taught her to look for the centre of the screen and as a small child people tend not to knock her over.

My GD loved it and yes I did have a bit of a cry, but then I always cry at Christmas. It was Disney ,so was expecting the usual songs, upset and happy ever after. I was informed, by GD, that Belle wears blue and she, the Princess in the plot, should have been given a different colour dress.

Would give it 7/10 my GD said 8/10

Well ive just got back from the day from hell and NOT seeing this in the Odeon in Guildford.
We got 4 tickets for this film on 21st December and went with my 2 sister in laws, to take my 3 year old niece, who was EXTREMELY excited, for a nice family day out.
As we knew we were going, we b*ght her lots of merchandise for christmas and read her the story etc.

First disaster was breaking down in the car on the way there. As my niece was soooo excited, and we didnt want to disappoint her, we abandoned the car, and called a cab to take us to the cinema, costing us £15. We still arrived at the cinema with 15 minutes to spare.

However we ended up spending 10 mins in the queue for confectionary and then made our way to the screen where they took our tickets, but as we went to go in the screen, they someone else stopped us going in saying it was full. We were not the only ones. There was at least 4 other groups with a total of 10-12 children who were all devestated!!!
After making a fuss, they called the assistant manager (who in my opinion needs to urgently be sent on a customer services course as her attitude stank - and she kept making excuses and then backtracking on what she'd said!!!). She basically said its our tough luck. Disney booked their smaller screen and its not her fault they over-issued so badly on tickets - try telling that to a bunch of upset kids!!!! After a while she eventually went off to phone her manager, who said the same - tough luck, speak to Disney. She then said she would reimburse us for the confectionary and we could see another film, so the kids got excited....at which point she completely back-tracked, and said she would only reimburse if we had NOT eaten of drunk any of it, and we could see another film, if we pa*d for all the tickets!! The arguement (with the cinema staff, us, and the other 4 groups) went on 45 mins, so of course it was eaten and drank by the kids while they were waiting!!! And after their stinking attitude i was not about to spend another £30 in their establishment on more cinema tickets!
Basically after a lot of heated discussions we got the details to complain to both Odeon, and Disney. Fair enough - the screening wasnt run by them - but surely they take some of responsibility by hosting it, and the way the treat their customers is absolutely disgusting - even to the point of them trying to refuse to let me use their toilet as i didnt have a ticket (as id already had it taken off me!!!).
So, after looking forward to a nice (cheap) family day out, even though we were there with 5 mins to spare, im left with one very upset 3 year old, and broken car left in the middle of nowhere, and im now £50 worse off after p*ying a fortune for taxi's to and from the cinema, confectionary and a stand-in treat in lieu of the cinema!!!!
 :crying:

If it was just adults being let down, fair enough. But they have just ruined the day of all those childen

What a shambles Gem. Sorry to hear that and doubly horrible when children are concerned. Not sure what t&cs Disney has, presumably it is the same as Sky's which states that possession of a ticket does not guarantee entry, although, that is no consolation. However, Sky's t&cs does say at its own discretion, if event is overbooked, tickets are offered to next Sky screening.

I remember complaining to Disney once after really, really back customer service (too long to relate here) at the Disney on Ice Spectacular at Wembley (cost a fortune for a family of 6 to go!) and was suppose to be a nice family day out too, but did not even received a courtesy of a reply. Hope you have better luck with your complaint.
