What Did You Watch Last Night?
Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
Just watched the John Cooper Clarke documentary on BBC4, a great introduction to the legendary punk poet and a must watch for fans as well.
Here's one of his very witty, clever and funny poems. (warning does contain some swearing)
Now just got to tear myself away from YouTube and try and get some sleep.

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
I was tremendously bored of revision combined with footage of lots of boats going down the Thames with awkward commentary so I decided to watch Taxi Driver. I've never seen it before. What a stunning, compelling film. The emotionally charged performance of Robert De Niro, the unforgettable Bernard Herrmann score, the great writing and cinematography make this one of the best movies I've ever seen. I haven't watched much of Scorsese's work but this blew me away.
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Not last night but today: Quai des Orfèvres, which I weirdly never saw.
I felt bad cause a guy came to introduce the film and do a "café-ciné", but there were only 23 people (obviously, with the Jubilee and rain...).
Anyway, great film, very funny and smart. It is stated as a 'crime/drama' but it's also a comedy. I was surprised, it makes me want to watch more Clouzot films, who is seen as a French Hitchcock, but who actually influenced him (and vice versa).

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
I had a Game of Thrones athon. 4 eps back to back, and just the season finale to come. I can't believe its nearly over, I'm so worried that my fav characters have been killed off
.
Its the time of year for finales. Dexter, The Good Wife, Grey's Anatomy, Game of Thrones, are all finishing this week or already finished.
What will I watch now?

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
nearly finished buffy season 2 lol. its a trip! though i never did get the buffy is FHM hot thing, gellar looks so moody shes the least attractive girl on the show.
started Defying Gravity, which is just odd, but compelling. Odd because its not really about Space and the cast are really not astronaut type people. Its more a romantic soap opera in space. Addictive though, we've been crying out for an interesting near future scifi show, and this one is set in space, no less! First time I wathced this I hated on Donner and Barnes, the way they hug the camera so much, but they have grown on me and I think I will stick this one out, its such a beautiful, dreamily shot show at times too.
