I am really sorry to hear of your rotten day, Gemma. I completely agree that the behaviour of the cinema staff was disgraceful and they should have at least offered you to see another film for free. But it is useful to remember that these screenings are first come first served and can be overbooked, so if you are with other people, I would always get the seats first then send someone out to b*y the provisions. This way you have your seats guaranteed.

How awful for you Gemma - I am not so sad now at having missed my screening because of the weather after hearing about your terrible day.

I agree with Beate about getting your seats first and then go to the toilet, b*y popcorn etc. but as for the attitude of the assistant manager she should be reported to Head Office.
The one rule I have learnt in life is if you are having a disagreement with staff in any office, shop etc. ASK FOR THEIR NAME!! Believe me that often changes their attitude when they know you have their name to give in a complaint to management. They like to be faceless while giving out abuse but change when they see you are serious and will take the matter further. I have used this in the past and have had people back down and try to be "my friend" after asking this.

Sorry, I know this is off-topic but I couldn't agree more Biggins - PARTICULARLY when in dealings over the phone! The amount of times you are promised or reassured of something over the phone and it never materialises or isn't sorted. Then you end up having to call back yet again and find yourself back at sqare one! Now I always take the person's name, and note the date & time & what they promised to do!

Saw this today at Odeon Derby, wasn’t sure we were going to get there seeing how the heavens had opened up yesterday with more snow, but all was okay. I have to say I really enjoyed this and like Moomoo said it was a ‘..good old fashioned Disney film’.

Completely agree and i got her name, and her managers and will be taking it further - if only for their sheer awful customer service and bad attitude!

Gutted....we were all looking forward to the film so much :crying:

Bit reluctant after our poor treatment now to actually go and fund them any further by going and b*ying cinema tickets. If we do it will definately be a Vue! Lol!

Im really sorry for the off-topic rant!
As you can tell we were very upset at missing the film, and our treatment, and there were not only us, but about another 20 people in the same both and 12 very upset kiddies, which upset us even more. I think the manager should have explained to all the upset children exactly why they couldnt go in and see how she felt then!

My niece was extremely upset, and kept asking if the lady wouldnt let her in because she had been naughty. Took us a while to explain that it wasnt because she'd been naughty, at which point she said "Is she just being mean to us then" :D

Plus to add insult to injury it now looks like in the process of trying to get to the film, my car has been sent to motor heaven

Sorry Gemma that your family had such terrible customer service - do try a complaint to Disney - you might get some joy there.

I thought it was a nice change, in a way, that this one was more of an old fashioned children’s film rather than a joke filled 'for the whole family' one. We went as two adults and we enjoyed it - but we are big Disney fans - it is nice to be transported back to a traditional type of film every once in a while. It was certainly a typical Disney message film! All the little girls in the audience seemed to really enjoy it and the screening was completely full.

The first free film of 2010 –we are looking forward to plenty more as the year goes on.

Went to watch this on Sunday at Richmond, but there was a technical problem with showing the film so they showed fantastic mr fox instead and gave everyone a guest pass for another film of their choice. We had already seen mr fox so didnt stay but most people did. Her indoors was disappointed but it was a good result for me. I got out of watching it and got 2 free cinema tickets.
