Thanks. Apart from super-gluing my mouth I think I'll try the NHS podcast which gives you a 6 week running programme starting from a very easy 'couch potato' level.

I notice rawr_xoxo (hope you feel better) has been running, any one else pounding the pavements to shed some pounds?

Aye well we are Scottish you know and made of hardy stuff. ;) Actually it was quite warm after the initial plunge in. The indoor pool is busy on a Friday with swimming lessons so get more space outdoors and have a natter at the same time with the others I know that go for a swim then.

Housework now and washing ready to iron - a woman's work is never done. :p

Biggin's thats fantastic, well done o/ . you were so good at the cinema last night with your water and refusing chocolate.

I'm off to a spa day, indoors luckily, so not going to be good today, not that i've been making much of an effort this week but will get back on the treadmill next week.

Happy fri(not fry)day everyone 8-)

I've got a completely free weekend so have plenty of time for exercising :D The weather forecast isn't too good so while its dry I'm just heading off on a 5 mile walk (without moaning daughter  ) and I will do my exercise DVD later.

Menu of the day:
Smoothie with bananas and strawberries (250 calories)
Celery soup (I was copying jojojoanne's idea of having celery as a snack but b*ght far too much so made some soup last night which is only 50 calories per large bowl and delicious o/ - its garlic, onions, celery softened in spray light olive oil and I used the vegetable stock that was over from steaming my carrots, broccoli and cauliflower from my vegetable curry (made a massive pan full so loads to freeze) last night (I usually bin the water as it was just for steaming but it did smell nice hence used it) then liquidised it and will have with a bread roll (200 calories). Apricot yoghurt (50 calories)
We're have a takeaway of sorts tonight but mine is an Asda Chosen by You Korma, rice and potatoes (400 calories) I will have some salad with raita (homemade with cucumber) to add some veg (50 calories)
Strwawberries, jelly and ice-cream (150 calories)
Cadburys options (50 calories)

What's everyone else's plans for the day?
MrG I have been looking at stretch bands is it the Ripcords ones which are good? If so which ones should I be b*ying? I want it so that I can take it to work so that I can have a go at lunch, a few of us have been doing 10 minute exercises at lunch much to the amusement of our colleagues (we're all really good friends so its fine)

If anyone is thinking of b*ying dumbbells for an aerobic workout don't get the foam ones like me as they make your hands sweat :noo: - When I got mine it was a cold day so didn't think about having hot hands when exercising just that they felt comfortable.
