Nothing smells or tastes as good as chips from the "chippie" especially when you are hungry. :( Good girl - you had the will power to walk past. o/

I had no money on me so it was that along with the will power  havingascreen I already have too much thigh so an extra portion of chips going on my thighs is not a pleasant thought :X

Good morning everyone.

Menu of the day:
Special K and fresh raspberries with a black coffee (300 calories)
Ham salad sandwich on 2 large slices of wholemeal bread with rocket, cucumber, tomatoes and a dash of sweet chilli sauce (350 calories) Weight watchers fromage frais (50 calories)
Depending on when I finish work either Tuscan bean soup with a slice of toast (400 calories) followed by strawberry whip and strawberries (60 calories) or if I'm going straight to the cinema I will have a microwaved pasta meal (326 calories) when I return and I will eat a cereal bar at the cinema. (preferably the first choice as more nutritious but the second is for times when your short of time).

I will walk 4 miles today maybe all after the cinema or 2 miles there and the same back all depends on time factor but at least I have a contingency plan, first choice is my preference but I will have to see.

What has everyone else got planned for the day?

Havingascreen re Thai curry how many people does that meal serve? I'm just seeing what I need to b*y and 400gm of chicken is about 3 large breasts - I'm not shopping until tomorrow evening so no rush - I'm looking forward to it already :D

Hi Everyone!

I think it's fantastic to see so much exercise being undertaken by the members of this thread. Well done to Diane, especially, for cramming so much walking into her allready busy day! o/

Today’s Meals:

1. Porridge with semi-skimmed milk (310 cals)

2. Prawn Laksa Soup (391 cals)

3. Small salad of mixed leaves, red/yellow/green peppers, green beans, cherry tomatoes, grated carrots and celeriac, mange tout, spring onions, and miniscule amount of pesto dressing. (200 cals)

4. Aberdeen Angus peppered beef grillsteak topped with caramelised red onion on a mixed leaves and green bean salad. (450 cals)

5. Earl Grey Tea with lemon slices. Toast with red pepper humous. (150 cals)

Todays Exercises:

I'll be attempting to fit all of the following in today, as I couldn't face a repeat of last week's weight gain scenario when Wednesday's weigh day comes around.

60 mins - gentle bike ride (weather permitting :cross:). Yes I know I'm getting soft! ;) but there really is something deeply unpleasant about cycling in the rain, on a bike without mudguards.

25 mins - rowing machine

35 mins - exercise bike

20 mins - "Sooty" (It's a dirty job but someone has to do it) on the Dual-action exercise bike. ;)

♫ ♫ ♫
"Oh, it's a jolly holiday
With Mary!......"
(¯`*•.¸♥♫ ♫ ♫

Good luck for everyone's healthy eating and exercise plans today. If you are chained up in an office today - try and escape to go for a walk at lunchtime. A 30 minute change of scenery and a bit of exercise will do you the world of good.

If you've fallen by the wayside with your diet - why not start again today!
There's a whole new fresh week, not even barely started. Oh, and if your watching from the sidelines - why not come and join in properly - we'd love to have you and together we can all help one another! Think of all that synergy!! o/

Never Give Up - Never Give In. :D

Your menu looks both tasty and healthy Havingascreen. Are you sure that there are quite enough calories there though? I'm no expert, but I think some other people were saying on here a while ago that ladies should be having a minimum of about 1200 cals per day. Though having said that, maybe it would come to about that figure when you add your snacks and drinks in.

I love the sound of your trout salad. I love all kinds of fish! I had some hot smoked mackerel fillets on a salad a few weeks ago and it was just delicious. So simple to do as well Just bung some of those vacuum packed pre-cooked smoked mackerel fillets in the microwave for a minute or so and serve over some leaves and crunchy red onions peppers and celery etc. V tasty!!

Well - I'm just back from my bike ride. I just went around the houses but decided to limit it to 35 mins rather than a full hour. I simply couldn't take any more of the uncomfortable saddle digging into my backside over our local potholed roads. It works out at 5.75 miles. Hopefully I'll try and fit another 25 mins in later on to make up for it this evening once the soreness wears off a bit. ;)

Oh yes!....Here's a bit of good news. I've had to put another (the second!) new hole into my jeans' belt, because everything is getting a bit too slack around my middle (still couldn't call it a waist yet though ;) )

Going to have to b*y some smaller trousers and stuff shortly :cross: :D o/

It was me who said that I'm having 1200 calories a day and 1500 on my treat day, its just what works for me but 950 does seem a little low.

Preston don't kill yourself with your exercise as that's a heck of a lot of exercise in a day  and you've already gone down in belt notches so that's telling you it's working o/
I don't move my body around very much at work so that's why I schedule in my exercise. As I've finished work earlier than expected its plan A so I'm happy o/
