Saw this at a 3/4 full Southampton Odeon. Not seen an 18 cert since Harry Brown so was looking forward to an adult theme with plenty of violence, was not disappointed. Some of the violence was a bit over the top but also had some humour thrown in,liked the story and characters, didnt like the ending though.

The ending sucked! (Like the KFC!)

o/ Completely agree, that was the only genuinely funny scene in the movie for me.

I didn't even think that was funny. I couldn't find anything funny in this film. Sorry for being a misery.

I found the sleeve funny. But that was it.

As I was coming out I heard people muttering they'd wasted almost two hours of their life.

What a weird, weird movie! It's insane, like a Coen Brothers movie, with an assortment of equally crazy characters, but where it truly excels is in Matthew McConaughey's depiction of cold-blooded killer, Joe Cooper. This guy gives Javier Bardem's Anton Chigurh a serious run for his money. While his performance is downright menacing, Thomas Haden Church's Ansel is hilarious on the total other extreme...and yet, by the time the end-credits have rolled, all you'll be thinking of is one iconic scene involving a K-Fry-C drumstick which could possibly put you off KFC for life.

Overall, a pretty fkd up movie, one I don't think I'd like to ever revisit, but which definitely held my interest all the way through. And I'm glad to see Matthew M. moving away from those dreadful trademark rom-coms into roles showcasing what a fkn good actor he actually is.

Watched this the other night. Just seemed to be trying a bit too hard to be brutal and nasty. Didn't really see the humour in it.
