No story to it. The f word used continuously. Music wasn't very good and neither was the dance routines. Too long and a complete waste of an evening!!! Total rubbish! 2/10

Dull, deadly dull. It was so boring. It looked like it had been shot using too many filters. Why was it so grey and dreary -- was it supposed to look like that? Dialogue was mumbled. Shall I go on???

I'm still not sure what to think of this one - what with all the male strippers, I thought it was meant to be a chick flick, but there weren't happy endings all round, which is what tends to feature in the genre.

The screen at Odeon Holloway was amazing though, beats Cineworld Shaftesbury Avenue hands down. Very empty screen, which I was surprised by, but I guess it's not that central for London. Our booking number was noted down and ID was asked for - which surprised me, given that I saw some posts asking for/offering tickets earlier today. Never once been ID'd for SFF screenings, so this was a new one on me! Is this usual for the VM screenings?

no, everything you say is very unusual, they never check ID nor note anything down.
we were indeed very lucky tonight at Holloway, as they booked screen 1 for us after the bad feedback they received about our usual sticky, stuffy and all round disgusting screens 7 and 8!

I laughed so much when they started it with the blind of the projection room pulled down! This is exactly the kind of shit that happens when you get rid of the projectionists!!

Saw this at Bournemouth Odeon which was 3/4 full and we were in screen 2 the second largest room. As for the film im afraid Magic Mike wasnt magic it was slow, boring and hard to hear what was being said. The best bit was when it ended 3/10.

Saw Magic Mike at a half filled Surrey Quays. We were expecting the film too be better then it was. All I can say it was slow we started too get bored before half way through. No proper story to follow. Dragged on far too long.

The trailer made this look fun and entertaining, which it was not. Whilst it wasn't as bad as Haywire, it was still another poor effort from Soderbergh, whose films seem to have gone downhill since Ocean's Eleven.

The film acting was wooden (especially from Tatum), the characters were bland, the 'drama' was dull and uninteresting, the story plodded along and dragged in the middle and the actual stripping scenes were disappointing. Even the male eye candy could not save this dreary mess. 4/10.

Run to check how much I gave to Haywire and will add 0.5, just because the soundtrack was bearable and Channing Awful Tatum can actually dance!

edit: That'd be 4.5/10 then
He actually started out as a dancer, so it was good to see he still can bust a move as the young kids say.
Apart from his dancing and MM being gloriously OTT the film was a total dud. It was supposed to be sunny California but it was so dull and dreary, which made the film even duller and it dragged and dragged.

No storyline really, there could have been but it got lost along the way. The Sister had a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp, all the way through. God she needed a rocket up the bum!

As for the dance routines, they were pretty bad, but that is what they are like. I remember seeing The Dreamboys back in the day, and it was ecxactly the same then. I did like the solo dances though

    5/10 for the dancing
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks
