I was at the Leeds/Bradford Odeon for this and as its a Virgin screening, you would expect there to be bags of popcorn for everyone. There wasn't!
So I had a word with the ushers about it and emphasised that this would have been the first virgin screening ever with no popcorn. There was no Virgin rep there so they were clueless about it.

However when the movie finished, the people walking out were given their free popcorn. It seems one of the ushers had a word with the manager about it and was told to hand it out.

Sometimes complaining is worth it. Just get the point across and let them do their job.

I was at the Manchester showing, half full, free popcorn, and not a bad film. Wouldn't recommend it to men or couples. on the way in the virgin rep asked to take a photo of me and OH in front of the virgin sign , which I agreed to. Forgetting which film I was going to watch. Now I will probably on some website somewhere as the bloke who goes and watches male stripper films......GREAT

We got popcorn in Edinburgh, but it was in a half full Pepsi carton. Well strange. Better than none I suppose.

I got asked if the Virgin rep could take my photo on the way in too! So my friend had to take a pic of me grinning stupidly with the rep. Luckily she didn't get my name but I hate to think what will happen to the photo! :noo:

I was at the Wimbledon showing, probably about 3/4 full (and they had salty popcorn, which is not always available.)

I kind of hated it, actually. Just super objectifying.

The photo is to prove that the rep turned up. They have their photo taken too.

Is that really all it's for? I feel much better, I got cornered too!

I hate having my photo taken, but given that the rep was lovely and we saw a free film in a lovely screen with free popcorn, it just felt really rude to say no to a snap...

Yeah, like you I hate having my photo taken but was asked ages ago. I felt rude saying no but I asked why. I felt better knowing I wasn't having my ugly mug plastered over the internet. ;)
