Re: Moonrise Kingdom
I had no problem reading the names during the credits. It must have been a projection problem at your particular screen?

Re: Moonrise Kingdom
I finally caught this Monday night and yeah, I pretty much looooooove it. Stumbles a bit in the final act, but so very worth seeing.

Re: Moonrise Kingdom
I didn't enjoy this as much as some other Wes Anderson films, but then my screening was subject to an extraordinary amount of disruption and poor behaviour by fellow audience members/others blundering into the wrong auditorium or entering too early for the next show. OK, people bring babies in (presumably OK if the certificate allows - not that the baby would be watching anyway) but never before have I known an adult to change a baby's nappy on the floor, in full public view!

Re: Moonrise Kingdom
I loved this. I stayed right till the end of the credits, no extra scene but just loved the music.

although I think I missed the first 5-10mins, there was a really long queue at the box office at 11am and I did ask if it had started yet before getting the ticket and he said there was still 5 mins but I guess there were hardly any trailers as it had already started when I got in there

Re: Moonrise Kingdom
I'm still absolutely gutted I missed this at the cinema. Anderson rarely puts a foot wrong IMO and Rushmore and The Life Acquatic both crack my top 50.
I eagerly await the DVD release.

Re: Moonrise Kingdom
I wasn't sure if I would like this as the only Wes Anderson film I'd seen was Fantastic Mr. Fox and I thought that was too Americanised. I absolutely adored this though. Couldn't stop laughing at how seriously the ridiculous situations were played out by the actors - 'She stabbed me with lefty scissors!' Also loved the distinctive way it was shot, with loads of quick panning and immaculate framing. One of my favourite films of the year.

Re: Moonrise Kingdom
Saw this in Glasgow tonight thanks to a competition win from Emerald Street. Great to see teddybear1 + OH and also, stuartboy who only makes it Glasgow for special occasions! The evening started well with private bar with drinks
and crisps . . . then bottles of water and popcorn
as we entered the screening.
I have to say that I did enjoy this film although it was a little whimsical. Acting by the 2 main children was very impressive, particularly as there were so many Hollywood stars in attendance. (I have to say that some of them are beginning to show their age!
)
There were a number of moments which caused me to laugh out loud eg the Treehouse
This was a gentle film even more so 'cause the latest film was Sinister which couldn't be a greater contrast.
I would not be unhappy if I'd pa*d but would not rave about the film either.

Oh, forgot to say I saw it!
Typical Anderson. I saw all his films and this is probably one of my favorites!
I haven't much to say about it. I just loved it. :)
