Re: Weight Watchers
Hope things improve for you two girls and also to ClareBarr who hadn't been too good the last few days
Menu of the day:
Smoothie with strawberries and a banana (250 calories) Alpen light cereal bar (70 calories)
Beef paste sandwich and tomatoes followed by a Weight Watchers fromage frais (330 calories)
Jacket potato with cottage cheese with pineapple and a large green salad with balsamic vinegar (400 calories as larger potato than the other day) An apple (50 calories)
100 calories spare for throughout the day
Its the exercise DVD today - I actually look forward to doing it now
Just reading back over the last few pages and we are all more than happy to analyse our own menus, exercise programmes with lots of valid points etc Please feel free to suggest improvements to mine as I'm more than happy to take criticism - I do mean that in a good way just can't think of another word for it.
Have a fun day everyone

Re: Weight Watchers
Morning everyone!
Looks like it's going to be a better day here weather wise and hopefully food wise too.
There's nothing quite like the motivational effect of writing down our intentions on our thread, taking responsibility for, and ownership of, them and then sticking to them come what may!! That's probably what did for me last week, when I couldn't get on here.
Thanks everyone for all the concerned posts about me too. I find that very touching.
Oh no you've set me off now......glub....
Really appreciated......I'm filling up guys, .....sniff...!
You took me in when I was nowt but a fledgling weight watcher, with ......sniffle......nary one iceberg lettuce to my name.....blub...
Glub.....you befriended me when I was at my lowest emotionally, and highest weight wise and got me back on track ......sniffle

Today's Menu:
1) Four Satsumas (small) and half a cafetiere of black coffee.
2) Small side salad with soy sauce dressing.
3) Seared salmon steak with balsamic glaze on rocket and celeriac.
4) Jacket potato with baked beans - no butter!.
5) Heinz Tomato soup with freshly torn basil leaves and a few homemade croutons.
I'm going to try and squeeze in another 30 minutes of 5.75 miles on the bike "round the houses" today. With the added bonus that it may even stay dry by the looks of things.
I'm also going to try hard and push myself to use at least one of the exercise machines that seem to have become mere obsolete pieces of sculpture in the bedroom these days.
Be careful out there people! Keep the water intake up and the sugar/fat intake down!! If it's nice weather where you are today get out for a walk - if it's not nice weather still get out for a walk, a bit of blooming rain won't kill you you know!!

Good luck on your bike run Preston - very energetic! You deserve to lose the 3lbs and more after that.
Not too bad a day here at the moment so going out soon for a walk. Plan my meals later in the day when I see what bargains I can pick up when I am out.

Re: Weight Watchers
good afternoon peeps, soz i don't have time during my lunch for a bigger post but i send all my healthy eating vibes out to cyberspace for you all. Delectible dieting Diane, losing 1lb while on hols
.
Here's todays food:
sugar puffs and coffee = 250 cals
tuna and cucumber sandwich (bread in moderation Biggins?) (240), wotsits(129) and raspberry slice (116) = 475 cals
Tesco chicken and with basil and tomatoe sauce(290) & salad (150 cals) = 390
Snacks:- Banana (100 cals) satsuma (30 cals) skinny latte (50 cals)
Could anybody reccommend a comprehensive calorie counting website, i usually just do a google search but the ones that come up first are pretty cumbersome.

Re: Weight Watchers
I'm sure (says she, now sitting down to her well-earned tea and cake) that housework, cleaning, etc, doesn't actually use anything like as much energy as you'd expect, but it's certainly more exhausting and uncongenial than spending the whole day walking!
I feel obliged to put my time to good use whilst under house arrest so have been cleaning out cupboards, etc, but even though the house would benefit, I hope I don't have time to work my way all through it - could take years.

I've been doing the same. Clearing out the spare room which has been practically inaccessible since we moved in. Almost all done now. Very proud of myself, and even managing not to lift too much stuff. But annoyed that I can't lift stuff onto higher shelves... MsT, why not come over here and do my stuff - much more interesting when you're rooting round someone else's stuff, no?

You don't catch me like that, anakin! Nice try, though. Now, where's the ever-willing Diane65 when you need her? Probably off bird-watching with Preston if I know those two...
