Well I've given up for today. Almost fell down (maybe up) the stairs (managed to hold myself up and strain my shoulders and bang my knee instead - all much preferable), so that's quite enough unsupervised activity for a while....

Just have to figure out what healthy food to have for dinner.... do frozen chips count?

Sorry I was at work or I would have been round to help. I certainly hadn't gone off with Preston budgie or eagle watching 8O

Your terminology is so funny :rofl2: I think I lost it when I returned from my holidays and didn't put on any when I was away  You've now got me wanting Sugar Puffs along with Preston's pain au chocolat :noo:

I'm going here on Saturday http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j& ... zlvVYfV4Pg and I know that the portions are enormous so any suggestions as to what I can have? Its my treat day so can have 1500 calories throughout the day.

@ anakin: be careful and save the dodgy deeds for Diane65!

@Diane65: what a shocking plan you have for Saturday! But luckily you have given enough warning for all your concerned friends to stage an intervention, which will involve kidnapping you before you can set foot over the threshold of temptation and taking you for a nice healthy salad instead.

Well done on your run rawr!

Diane, I'm not sure about calories, but most of the salads should be ok if you ask for the dressing on the side, or perhaps the steak / salmon / chicken (with a salad if potato is a sin too far)? The portions may be huge, but based on what happened at the carvery recently, you won't be able to finish it anyway!

More importantly, can I come? Making me hungry!!! I'll have the veggie fajitas, please!

Well done from me too o/

Of course you can come I'll be there at 5pm on Saturday :D - MsThrifty might be at the door stopping me from getting in :noo: I can do a potato its just trying to keep it under 900 calories as I'll have 300 for breakfast and 300 for lunch, just checking and the peppered steak salad sounds good and the peri peri chicken sandwich - I'm lost without a calorie chart as if its something new I have no idea re calories  I only drink water, diet coke or black coffee with meals so not many calories there.

Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow Biggins and is it havingascreens day too? I know that Valda is on a Sunday and Preston is Wednesday with me but not sure of anyone else.

Thanks Diane ;) Careful though, you never know I might turn up and scare you!

I think either of those sounds like a good choice. Perhaps go by gut feeling rather than actual calories. You're doing great and it's probably not long until you want to change what you're eating a little to maintain your weight, rather than lose it!

i feel so sorry for you re your neighbour, Diane. But sometimes we have to be (selfish) (wrong word because you're far from it) .. but your brisk walks alone are important to you and motivates you more. it's such a shame that you have to watch the clock/weather and can't do and like, what and when you please!

Sorry you are under pressure from your neighbour to go for a walk with you Diane. Does she go for long strenuous walks on her own? She may think it is a walk where she can just walk quickly and chat as you go along stopping when she wants to.

Perhaps the only option left is to tell her it is 4 miles at a very quick pace and tell her the route as she may not realise just how far 4 miles is.

If she then still insists she can do it then go with her and keep up a very quick pace the whole route without talking to her (explain talking slows you down). If she can't keep up and doesn't manage it then you are out of it for the future as she will not ask again. If she suceeds then at least you know it will not slow you down and you could invite her ocassionally but make the most of the early mornings when she can't go.

No weight lost this week  but no weight gain either so suppose that's okay. Probably becoming too complacent and expecting to lose a lb a week now without trying so hard as I did at the start.

Next week I have several meals out so doesn't bode well for losing weight. If friends are cooking for myself and others don't want to say I am trying to lose weight as it then becomes the topic of conversation everytime anyone meets see you. You feel guilty if you haven't lost a ton of weight by the next time you meet them. :( Better if they meet you and say "Have you lost weight since I last saw you? ;)
