Diane: How about you say you'll text her as you leave giving her x minutes to be out of the door, but as you'll be 'at speed' you won't wait for her if she's not there as else you get a stich or something? If she's late, then tough. If she can't catch up, then tough. Otherwise you're just going to have to be honest with her... Or tell her you're so close to your target that you just can't bear to break your routine...
Thank you anakin for your advice - I hate saying no but when I'm on a mission I really can't bear not to achieve my goals, I can be so driven at times I can't help myself. (my father was exactly the same with personal goals). You really have got me down to a tee. I can always do a 2 mile walk with her and then still time to exercise later.

What do you like to eat Rawr_xoxo? Like anakin says stir fries are so quick. I just pan fried some beef which I marinated in holy cow garlic sauce, mushrooms, onions and garlic with the one cal olive oil spray and had it over a salad for dinner - it was really filling but that Holy Cow stuff was so hot my heart was going like the clappers but yummy and it took less than 10 minutes to do. Prestons curries are delicious, Biggins does some lovely clean meals (where you can really taste all the ingredients), I copy quite a few from yourself and everyone else on here. My favourite breakfast is the smoothies which were MsThriftys idea, Valda's granola and dinners are havingascreens thai curry and veg chilli.

Diane, I have an idea!!!

Can your friend be your 'warm down'? By that I mean either literally when you're warming down or (and this was my initial thought) she might be right for when you've hit your target and don't need to keep up the pace / weight loss regime. It would ensure you still get some exercise but maintain your weight... Is that feasible??

Brilliant idea!!! o/ I could do 3 miles very briskly and then do 2 slower with her, plus I will still go in the rain - so will get the extra exercise then. So it should all even out in the end. You're a genius and a good friend o/

Today is a new day and we are all here to support you on the way. What are your downfalls eating wise as I'm sure that we will find a way around it, mine is a sweet tooth and if you see my menus I have had something sweet every single day (don't tell MrG as he will be advising me re more veg rather than my fruit/jelly/chocolate) , other people its bread or alcohol? Most people have at least one vice so don't knock yourself. I have a treat day every week and it keeps me on the straight and narrow otherwise I would be tempted to cheat  this week its coffee and a substantial cake on Thursday

Menu of the day:
Porridge with a black coffee (300 calories)
Jacobs savours, pate, cucumber and a weight watchers yoghurt (300 calories)
I'm going out for dinner tonight for my friends birthday and its not a treat day so need to keep to 600 calories or less http://www.kro.co.uk/ - Any suggestions?

Exercise for the day:
Exercise DVD - I'm eating at 5pm so will have time when I get home

Have a fab day everyone and looking forward to seeing what you're all up to today o/

Off to visit a friend down in the borders today so don't know what I'll be given to eat but don't want to make a fuss. We are going for a walk round her town area before lunch so I'll get some exercise.

Catch up later.

Apart from the obvious salads, that's a tough menu.
