Welcome, peachylolipop! Always nice to see a new face! :D

Diane, peachy is right, does look tough, but the salads do look good! Ask for no sesame seeds etc as they're quite high in calories I think. Else you could have a burger with no bun? Or the steak or mussels? Latter comes with chips but you could swap for salad I'm sure... The tagine sounds tasty and quite healthy - perhaps scrap the pitta: couscous must be a better source of carbs...

ariuf, Diane is right, today is a new day. You can do it!!!!

Menu for the day:
Breakfast:
RK Mnultigrain cereal and Milk (est 200kcal)
3 Apples as snacks throughout the day.
Lunch:
Fishfinger sandwich(4 fishfingers, judged it wrong 3 would have been fine on WW bread) and a side chicken salad with sweet chilli sauce

Dinner
Ended up being a chicken omelette! Thought I couldnt taste the chicken so sort of redundant!
Had 2 apples for dessert instead of chocolate or ice cream, trying really hard to avoid that!!

Exercise: walking up to the bank and back to deposit some mone.

And yes, I LOVE stir frys!
Its just its abit expensive to upkeep :S
Havent had one in ages so really fancy one now!

use frozen veg in your stir fries. Much cheaper and handy too!

Thanks to you and peachylolipop its going to be the Thai salad without the sesame seeds and I agree it does sound good; its my friends birthday hence her choice of venue.

Thnks Rickyraj - I'll have a look at that and rawr_xoxo you don't always have to have meat in your stir fries - I don't.

Hope that you had a lovely meal out yesterday Biggins, I must admit I was quite tempted when the other 3 were having hot chocolate and cakes yesterday - the St Clements cake was calling to me but I resisted and just stared at it in its glass cabinet and had an Americano :crying:

Menu of the day:
Smoothie with banana and strawberry (250 calories)
French onion soup with a piece of French stick plus an apple (300 calories)
Vegetable chilli with wholemeal rice(420 calories)
As a snack I will have peanut butter on toast (200 calories)

I'm not starting work until 10am so I'm going to do my exercise DVD now.

Have a fun day everyone o/

Good girl! That must have been some cake if it had it's own dedicated glass cabinet - I'm proud of you Diane and I'm sure that that decision will p*y off for you tomorrow o/

I on the other hand have not been as good as you......Yesterday part way through my 18.5 mile bike ride, my mates (yes we seem to have become a regular three in number now - just to make it even more like "Last of the Summer Wine") decided we would stop part way through the journey to eat
at a cafe that they both knew. I had brought a banana and a box of salad along in my rucksack to eat for lunch but they hadn't brought anything. To be fair to them I could have said "count me out I'll just sit and wait for you" but realistically that wasn't really on, and to be honest I was keen to join them anyhow truth be told.

Before I really thought about it "we" had ordered three Full English Breakfasts. But these were no ordinary breakfasts...Oh, no, they were absolutely massive!! It looked as if some pottery company had been especially commissioned to make the extraordinary large plates that were required to cram all the food onto: Two fried eggs, two rashers of really thick bacon, two sausages, two slabs of black pudding, a hash brown (only one for some reason!), beans, mushrooms and fried potatoes. It came with 3 full slices of thick, well buttered, toast.

Seriously, it was like "my next heart attack" served up to me on a plate. Of course it was delicious and I smothered it with English mustard and lashings of tomato sauce. Barring one slice of toast, I ate it all. .....But I was very conscious that any good that this bike ride was doing me was completely negated and indeed pushed back the other way in this one plateful of high cholesterol megacalorific saturated fatness over-indulgence.

As I was working my way through it, I kept on telling myself that I would cut down for the rest of the day to make up for it - of course I didn't do any such thing and I actually finished off the rest of the day with a small bowl of homemade celery soup made with double cream, a 600gm portion of vegetable curry, two bags of Walkers smoky bacon crisps and a pre-bedtime "2 fingered" Kitkat (which seemed quite appropriate when considered in relation to my supposed diet).

There could be trouble ahead for me at tomorrows weigh-in methinks. A sneak pre-tomorrow weigh-in this morning (yes- I know I shouldn't keep on getting weighed every day!) revealed those three pounds are back on, Darn it! :nono:

Today's exercise:

1) It's a rest day for me today, as I ache quite a bit. I think its gardening related, rather than bike ride related.

Today's Meals:

1) One Weetabix with some raspberries and semi-skimmed milk.

2) A portion of Vegetable Curry.

3) Seafood salad.

4) Celery sticks and carrot batons to chomp on.

I need to get focussed again on what I'm supposed to be doing here. I'm going to be trying to fill up with water to stave off the hunger pangs today rather than resorting to crisps and Kitkats. :cross:

Hope everyone else is doing a lot better than me :cross:

Nice to see some new contributors to the thread popping up recently amongst all the wonderful regulars.
Best wishes to ClareBarr - Hope you are feeling OK these days - I can't remember seeing any posts from you for a while.

Have a great day everyone :D

Thanks Diane - I had a lovely day yesterday and it was dry all day!!!! Had a walk around the town and a coffee with friends and then then went back to friends house and had pasta and chicken with strawberries and ice cream for afters, one glass of wine. So I wasn't too bad. Our feet maybe didn't get a lot of excercise but our tongues sure did!! LOL! :p

Going swimming today and getting packed to go away tomorrow morning for two days to a hotel - so eating out again!! You can see now how I put on weight! The hotel has a swimming pool so hope to get in it at least once in the two days. If the weather is dry will be able to get a walk along by the river Tay which is in front of the hotel.

Have a good day everyone. o/

Oh dear !! Preston that moment of weakness again :nono: Have a very large portion of your vegetable curry today and - if you can venture out of the bathroom - you might find you have lost the 3lbs again! ;)

Yes these moments of weakness are becoming too regular now, I need to display more self-control and determination like I used to have. Thanks for that little tip, Biggins! ;) - goodness knows I've plenty of curry to get through, as no-one else in my family will have anything to do with it (again), even though I made it much milder this time especially with them in mind.

It sounds like you had a nice day with your friends yesterday o/ . Well done for keeping up with the swimming too. Hope you enjoy your hotel break and your planned river-walk - it sounds lovely - fingers crossed that the weather holds up for you. :cross: :D
