FREE TICKETS TO CAMBRIDGE ROCK FEST
http://www.supajam.com/news/story/FREE- ... tr=6581668
The summer's here and we've got more free tickets for you! After our crazy Strawberry Fields ticket give away (all of them gone in a minute..!) we thought we'd offer something for our older readers (not to say that our younger one's may not love this as well!). If you remember the classic rock of Mott the Hoople, Bad Company, Caravan, and Deep Purple then this is for you!
We've b*ght up 200 full weekend tickets to the Cambridge Rock Festival. The CRF is a festival celebrating blues, rock n roll, prog rock and a lil classic British heavy metal- headliners include the incredible psyche heroes Caravan, Mick Ralph of Mott The Hoople and Bad Company fame, and Don Airey of the legendary Deep Purple. As ever we're are giving away tickets for nothing but our small £5.40 admin fee- this covers the cost of SupaJam staff wrist banding you lot and processing tickets... The tickets have a normal face value of £89, so it's safe to assume that this offer is going to go pretty quick!
The festival takes place just a couple of miles outside Cambridge on 2nd - 5th August- it's a rock fans dream with a decent site, friendly security, copious real ale, cider, wine and lager available, and some actually sensible pricing-- You can take a look at the full line up and festival details on their website. You can grab up to 4 tickets at a time for you and your friends, so tell your mates!
We'll be releasing the tickets in two batches, the first going live at 5pm today (Tuesday 24th), and the next pushed out at 5pm on Thursday July 26th-
To get your tickets simply follow this link:

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
i went to the torch relaye finale at hyde park
we had tickets already but brought all the family with the extra free tickets
we had a fantastic night i meet loads of friends that i didnt realise were going too
didnt expect to but really enjoyed the wanted
they played 10 mins of coldplay too
twist and pulse were nice surprise
and the acrobats after were fantastic but found it got lost on the big crowd unless you were near the front
only thing that i didnt like (although his set was fantastic!!) is dizzy rascal was swearing nearly the whole hour he was on stage its family event loads of little kids there there was no need for that

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
We went to Hyde Park as well last night. Thought Dizzee Rascal was fantastic, put on a great set and had a lot of fun near the front (nice to see a few mosh pits/circle pits starting up).
In all honesty, thought The Wanted were dreadful, but then again I really just can't stand that kind of thing. Thought it was funny that there best song of the set was a cover (random cover of Fix You by Coldplay).
Thought the "Mega-Pints" were funny. Basically a pint and half for £6.50!!! And I didn't see much advertising around
Anyway, a lot of fun that was free and suffering a little bit at work today. Beer + sun = dehydration and headache!

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I'm off to see Briefs tonight with akh43 really looking forward to it, it does look different but fun. OH would hate it but I will love iterica0418 wrote:Saw a couple of shows recently using SFF.
Briefs at South Bank as part of the Udderbelly Festival
and
Lawrence Leung: Beginning. Middle End.
Briefs is absolutely hilarious, not sure its everyone's cup of tea, but the crowd definitely seemed to enjoy it and the venue is very nice.
Lawrence Leung is an Australian stand up comedian, but a bit different from your average stand up.
combined with clips and photo slides, a nice quirky stand up comedy.
its only 60min as well in a very intimate theatre - so a definitely nice school night out!
think normal ticket prices are quite reasonable as well - £10/£15.
he's playing at Soho Theatre until this saturday.
recommend both if anyone has a chance to go see.
